Nicktoons Nitro

An arcade-exclusive Nickelodeon racing game. It features characters and tracks from SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Invader Zim, as well as an original villain character named Lord Nitro.

It was the final game in the Nicktoons Racing series before being revived as Nickelodeon Kart Racers nearly a decade later. It was also notable for being the first playable appearance of Aang in a Nicktoons game. Too bad it had to be in an arcade racing spinoff instead of a mainline Nicktoons Unite! game, which would unfortunately meet its own demise after the failure of Globs of Doom the same year.

License plate textures leftover from The Fast and the Furious, another game by Raw Thrills.

SYSTEM.rez#

Throughout SYSTEM.rez are some generic node graphics, four of which are duplicates.

RTLOGO.IMG is the Raw Thrills logo, which instead appears in a video during the attract loop.

Unused Characters#

JAY09#

This needs some investigation. Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page. Specifically: Isn't this the robot that appears randomly during races?

shared\characters\JAY09.GR2 is an unused generic robot character. It's unknown whether he was a placeholder character or was meant to have a role in the game. He also has a full set of animations in the animations folder.
