NBA Live 95 (Genesis)

NBA Live 95 is the one that started it all. The Genesis version featured the 1994-95 rosters, but only allowed you to trade players in the starting lineup. It was also included as a bonus in NBA Live 06.

Player Animation Test#

An animation test menu similar to the one featured in Coach K College Basketball can be accessed by performing the following steps:

1. Start an exhibition game. Teams and settings do not matter.
2. Once the game begins, pause and enter/enable the Action Replay code FFE554:0001.
3. Press Down until "Test Mode" is highlighted.
4. Disable the code.
5. Press A.

All options should be self-explanatory, and can be toggled with Left and Right (as well as A to switch teams).

Hidden Golf Game#

By entering REFLOG (Golfer backwards) as a player name, you can play a game of golf.

It appears that the working name for NBA Live 95 was NBA Showdown 95 (as the previous entry was called NBA Showdown 94), as seen in an early copyright text seen at 37F56:
