NBA Jam (Sega CD)

Take the Sega Genesis version of NBA Jam, change some names and portraits, add a CD-quality soundtrack, FMV sequences at halftime, and awful loading times, and you get this version. However, there's one more little-known feature that this Sega CD release has over the other ports--more than twice the number of secret characters!

Undocumented Secret Characters#

Only eight secret characters have codes circulating the Web, but twenty more exist on the disc! These include all but one of the characters found in the other home versions (Scruff was replaced with Brutah), thirteen which can also be found in the NBA Jam Tournament Edition (SNES) prototype with their real names (all characters from Bloke! to Ziggy), and three dinosaurs from the SNES prototype of the original NBA Jam.

To use the codes below: At the Initial Entry screen, highlight the first letter in the "Initials" column, hold Start, and press the button indicated in the equivalent position of the "Buttons" column. Repeat for the remaining two letters. An underscore refers to the blank space character, while an asterisk means any button can be used to enter the initial (holding Start is not required).
