Muppets#

Unused Animal Hands#

MMS_Animal_Hand_01.png MMS_Animal_Hand_02.png MMS_Animal_Hand_03.png

3 unused hand sprites for Animal which aren't holding a drumstick. It's possible that Animal once threw his stick in the air and caught it, but it was scrapped. These sprites are unfinished, and as such are solid color and have a blue dot for rigging.

Early Rooftop Animal#

1.0.2

Final

An early version of Animal's design on the Rooftop with different glasses, purple glittery drums, no arm bandana, and the stool, cymbals, cymbal stands, and drumsticks using an earlier unfinished version of them. The different glasses actually appear in the final game on Animal's Rooftop icon.

Early Rooftop Rowlf Piano#

1.0.2

Final

An early version of Rowlf's piano on the Rooftop, which originally had a potted cactus on it.

Sam Eagle Eyebrows#

Sam Eagle has an unused sprite of his eyebrows separated from his eyes. In the game, his eyebrows are part of his eyes.

Unused Big Mo Cups#

Big Mo has an unused sprite of all his cups in one sprite. The used cups are split up into multiple sprites.

Early Rooftop Kermit#

Sprites for an unused alternate Kermit design meant for the Rooftop. The design is a reference to the 1979 Muppets movie.

The HARV-E icon for the previous Kermit design.

Swedish Chef Spatula#

An unused spatula sprite for Swedish Chef.

Veggies Garlic Roots#

An unused roots sprite for the garlic in the Veggies.

Chickens Hats#

2 unused sprites for hats meant for the Chickens. It's possible that these were meant to be used on the Alley before it was changed to the Big House.

Placeholder Sweetums#

A placeholder image of Sweetums, also seen in the game's beta.

A placeholder image of Sweetums' HARV-E icon, also seen in the game's beta.

Early Janice Hair#

1.0.1

Final

An early version of Janice's hair sprite.

Myron Bellows Back Arm#

Myron Bellows has 2 back arm sprites that don't exist in his animations due to the accordion blocking where they would be.

An unused popcorn machine decoration.

An unused fountain decoration that only had an icon and was removed from later versions of the game.

An early, incomplete version of the Seamstress Mannequin decoration.

Early Graphics for the Rooftop#

Some early graphics for the Rooftop stage.

1.0.1

1.0.2

Final

Two early versions of the Rooftop's icon. The first is from when it was originally called the Alley and took place inside of an alleyway. The second is the same as the final but with missing graffiti.

Obscured Graphics#

Marvin Suggs's Legs#

Marvin Suggs has legs hidden behind his Muppaphone.

The Newsman's Legs#

The Newsman has broken legs hidden behind his desk. They seem to be missing a "hip" sprite.

Unused Sounds#

The Muppet Theater#

Rowlf Track 3#

Rowlf has a scrapped third track on the Muppet Theater. This track doesn't exist in the game files, but is noticeable due to the gap between track 2 and 4.

The Divettes#

There is an extra unused verse at the end of the Muppet Theater song where The Divettes play once an extra time.

The Rooftop#

Gonzo Track 2#

Gonzo has an unused second track for the Rooftop.

The Ship#

Rowlf Track 2#

Rowlf has a second track on the Ship that goes unused due to a bug in the songs midi file in which the notes for the second track are mistakenly placed where notes for the first track go. This is noticeable due to the second track being twice as long as the first track.

Unused Animations#

The Alley#

The Alley was the original name for the Big House and has the ID of stage 3. In 1.0.2, animations for Muppets on the Rooftop, the stage that took this spot, were added (although the stage hadn't been released yet) and along with those, animations for Muppets that were on the Alley and not on the Rooftop were also added. These animations are all early versions of animations from the Muppet Theater and the Kitchen.

Miss Piggy#

Watch on YouTube

Miss Piggy's animations are an early version of her Muppet Theater animations, and are the most bizarre out of all the Alley Muppets, appearing as a jumbled mess. This is due to them being made for an older design. They uses sprites with names that don't exist for the final design, causing them to default to the first sprite in Miss Piggy's XML file, which is her dress arm puff sprite. Based on how the sprites are arranged, this design likely faced towards the camera.

Big Mo#

Watch on YouTube

Big Mo uses a very early and choppy version of his Muppet Theater animations, obviously meant as a placeholder. These animations were meant for an old design from the beta, which is why his face is corrupted, his hands appear behind his arms, and his pots and pans appear incomplete.

Floyd#

Watch on YouTube

Floyd uses an early version of his Muppet Theater animations. The bottom half of his body is missing as this was made for his beta design where the body was 1 full sprite. Interestingly, his third track animation still has him playing the bass.

Swedish Chef#

Watch on YouTube

Early versions of Swedish Chef's Kitchen animations. For some reason, his spoon is invisible at the start of his alternate idle.

Walter#

Watch on YouTube

Early versions of Walter's Kitchen animations.

Rats#

Mms_rats_alley_idle_track_2.png MMS_rats_alley_track_1.png

The Rats don't actually have any animations, and are just still poses. There are two different poses, the first being used for the idle and track 2 and the second being used for track 1. These poses appear messed up, as they were meant for an older design which can be found in the game's beta.

Rizzo#

Rizzo is also a single pose for both animations.

The Rooftop#

Early Animal#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Animal on the Rooftop, which use his old sprites. Aside from this, the animation itself is identical to the final.

Early Rowlf#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Rowlf on the Rooftop, which use his early sprites where there was originally a cactus on his piano. Like Animal, the animations are the same as the final.

Early Dr. Teeth#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Dr. Teeth on the Rooftop, where in his first track he jumps around more than the final.

Early Sam Eagle#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Sam Eagle on the Rooftop, using an old design that was later repurposed for the Ship. Like Kermit, this is likely a leftover from the Museum.

Early Bloosman#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Bloosman on the Rooftop, where in his idle his hand is more stiff and sometimes breaks off his arm, as it's connected to his keytar and not his arm, meaning it moves independently.

Early Jax Strumley#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Jax Strumley on the Rooftop, which are completely different from the final. At the start of his playing animation, his hand glitches out for a second before warping back to where it should be.

Early Kizzy#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Kizzy on the Rooftop, where her idle is slightly different.

Early Janice#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Janice on the Rooftop. These use her old hair sprite, and her hair also clips through her head at some points. Also, at the end of her first track her head goes up and back down slightly earlier than the final.

Early Kermit#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Kermit on the Rooftop, in which he was originally a Cowboy. This, along with many other early Rooftop designs, may be a remnant from when it was the Museum and took place in a British museum.

Early Pepe#

Watch on YouTube

Early animations for Pepe on the Rooftop which use his old design. The animations themselves are identical to the final.

Dressing Rooms Required: 1

80's Robot lives to serve and serves to live... only a lot of his software has gone soft and fuzzy, so he doesn't always do what he's supposed to. But it's not for lack of trying, and fortunately Kermit and the other Muppets are very understanding. Besides, 80's Robot is also a music machine, laying down tracks that'll take you back.
Dressing Rooms Required: 1

This agreeable automaton opted out of a mundane existence as just another cog in the machine. Instead, he traded processing code for singing codas, and deals with an entirely different type of script! Nothing can break down his cheerful spirit – but he does wince at being called a 'steampunk' robot. He believes his manners are far superior, and much prefers 'steamgentleman.'

Un-beat-able when it comes to slapping rhythm into a song and a close friend of legendary Electric Mayhem drummer Animal. He specializes in playing the drum from which he takes his name. And believe us, no one can lay down a paradiddle or flam-roll-&-drag a beat out of the bongo like Bongo.

When it comes to slapping rhythm into song, Hera Thump is un-beat-able! No one can lay down a paradiddle or flam-roll-&-drag a clamorous conga-commotion like this gal!

An early version of Hera Thump's name and bio, in which she was originally a guy and was named Bongo. The early bio mentions that Hera Thump/Bongo is close friends with Animal. Coincidentally Hera Thump uses the same VST as Animal.

This gal is everybody's main squeeze, a wheezy but wonderful purveyor of that most maligned of musical styles – the accordion. Sure, it's not as hip as a v-shaped guitar or as boss as a booming bass drum, but the accordion has a charm all its own, and no one plays it as charmingly as her.

And yet he remains a mainstay of every Muppet performance, musical and otherwise. He plays scales pretty well, too. Fish scales, that is.

An early version of Lew Zealand's bio. It depicts Lew as being a normal Muppet and not a limited time Muppet. It also has Lew Zealand in all caps, and is missing the HARV-E success rate.

Early Newsman Bio#

The Newsman is very serious, reporting on the important issues and crises of the day... and usually getting pelted or pulverized by whatever he's talking about. (If it's report about a pole vaulting cow, you can be positive the Newsman is about be blindsided by that same airborne bovine. Still, for such a serious guy, he lays down a very newsworthy musical riff.

Tony Tenor#

There's no disputing this lad was born to... wait for it... sing tenor. His notes are mellifluous, which from what we gather is a good thing when it comes to singing. Some call his voice angelic, and some just wonder why someone with this good a voice wandered in here. Find out for yourself next time you give him a listen.

Text for an unused Muppet named Tony Tenor. He doesn't have a known design or any sounds, but based on his description he would've been a tenor vocalist.

Decorations#

Revisional Differences#

Chickens Icon#

1.0.0 - 1.1.0

1.1.1 - Present

The icon for the Chickens was originally just 1 chicken head, but in 1.1.1 it was changed to be 3 chicken heads. This was likely done to differentiate it from Camilla, who released in the same update as the change.

Mahna Mahna#

1.0.0 - 1.0.2

1.1.0 - Present

My Muppets Show Mahna Mahna 1.0.0.png My Muppets Show Mahna Mahna 1.1.0.png

In version 1.1.0, Mahna Mahna got his sprites updated, where his skin became brighter, his hair became more orange, the detail on his body changed, and he became happy.

Fozzie#

1.0.0 - 1.1.0

1.1.1 - Present

In version 1.1.1, the saturation of Fozzie's design was decreased, making him look slightly darker.

Beaker#

1.0.0 - 1.0.2

1.1.0 - Present

My Muppets Show Beaker 1.0.0.png My Muppets Show Beaker 1.1.0.png

In version 1.1.0, Beaker's hair was made brighter and the shape of his nose and mouth was changed slightly.

Oddities#

Muppet Man Sprite Sheet Name#

The name of Muppet Man's sprite sheet has "stg01" in it, indicating that he possibly would've had a different design on each stage, likely with the Muppets in his design being replaced by Muppets from the respective stages.

Sam Eagle's early design on the Rooftop#

The sprite sheet for Sam Eagle's design on the Ship has "stage03" in its name, meaning it was planned to be used for Sam on the Rooftop. This design was used in Sam's Rooftop animations in 1.0.2, a version before the Rooftop released.

Early Muppet Designs in Shop#

The button for the Muppets category of the shop uses early designs for every Muppet featured in it. Most noticeable are Gonzo and Zoot, who look completely different from their final designs, and Swedish Chef, whose face is very similar to his final design, but he has a completely different outfit. Fozzie, Miss Piggy, and Floyd are very similar to their final designs but have some small differences, with Fozzie having a thinner body, Miss Piggy having purple gloves, and Floyd's shoulder pads being different. At first glance Kermit may look like he simply only has a different head, but the rest of his body is clearly different from his final design. These early designs were all used in the leaked beta build of My Muppets Show with the exception of Kermit, whose early design is only used for the build's opening image.

Internal Name#

My Muppets Show's package name refers to it as "mysingingmuppets".
