My Singing Monsters (PlayStation Vita)

The Vita's My Singing Monsters is a fully-offline title with exclusive content: two new monsters of the brand new Mythical class (G'joob and Yawstrich) and four new decorations. Unfortunately, no updates were released for this version of the game, causing it to quickly become outdated compared to the mobile version of MSM.

In September 2019, after the contract for the Vita version's exclusive content expired, the Vita-exclusive monsters and decorations were added to the mobile version of MSM.

Breeding Odds#

Being the only offline version of My Singing Monsters, it also the only version of the game where datamining the breeding odds is possible. These odds are likely not accurate to the current live version due to version differences and being outdated. Some of the base odds are listed below, although the effect of monster levels and wishing torches is currently unknown.

  1. A natural triple has a 44.4% chance of success with a bad combo, and a 75% chance of success with a good combo.
  2. A natural quad has a 5% chance of success when breeding two doubles, and a 23.1% chance of success when breeding a single and a triple.
  3. A Shugabush on Plant Island has a 10% chance of success.
  4. A Shugafam has a 25% chance of success, with a 50% chance of breeding the base natural monster instead.
  5. An ethereal single has a 5% chance of success on the natural islands.
  6. An ethereal double has a 5% chance of success.
  7. A mythical has a 7% chance of success.
  8. When available, a seasonal has a 10% chance of success.

Natural Triples#

As mentioned above, a specific "good" combo has a significantly higher chance of successfully breeding a natural triple, as listed below. Any other combo has a lower chance of success.

  1. Reedling = Potbelly + Cybop
  2. Spunge = Toe Jammer + Dandidoo
  3. Thumpies = Tweedle + Furcorn
  4. Scups = Tweedle + Fwog
  5. PomPom = Noggin + Pango
  6. Congle = Mammott + Quibble
  7. Pummel = Noggin + Oaktopus
  8. Clamble = Mammott + Shrubb
  9. Bowgart = Potbelly + Maw
  10. T-Rox = Toe Jammer + Drumpler

Unused Data for Mimic#

There is data for a natural quint monster in the files. It takes up five beds, and its default nicknames are "NEW ABCDE 1" and "NEW ABCDE 2." There are unused breeding combos where combining all five natural elements have a 5% chance to create Monster 30. There are a few exceptions that have a 20% chance of success: Potbelly + Riff, Toe Jammer + Quarrister, and Mammott + Shellbeat. This suggests that Mimic was planned to be added early on as a breedable monster. However, there is no image or name data that specifically ties it to Mimic, only the identity of being the natural quint, but according to Dave Kerr, this was never planned to begin with, making this debated.

Unused Mammott Tracks#

For some reason, Mammott has four extra unused tracks on Plant Island and Cold Island in the Vita version. These tracks seem to be early versions of the Castle bass, which are synths here.
