Just Dance 2017 is the eighth game in the dance game series by Ubisoft. It is also the first entry to have both Switch and PC ports.

This page or section needs more images. There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this. Specifically: Boxart indicates a possible save banner and title screen difference.

To do: More things: Document the scrapped routines for Sorry, Titanium, El Tiki. Document the unreleased Mashups. Document the unused textures and compare to final version. Add the unused music.

Unused Songs#

Two songs went unreleased in the final game, despite being mostly finished.

In The Hall Of The Pixel King#

Watch on YouTubeAn interesting chiptune remix of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg and "Ode to Joy" by Ludwig van Beethoven, complete with a routine that (through a pixelated filter) looks like an old 8-bit video game. Scrapped for unknown reasons, but it later appeared in Just Dance 2018 with a whole new routine.

Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini#

Watch on YouTube"Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" by Brian Hyland (covered by the "Sunlight Shakers" in-game) was supposed to release in Just Dance 2017. Similar to In The Hall Of The Pixel King, the song would receive a new routine in Just Dance 2018. Unlike In The Hall Of The Pixel King, the updated version in Just Dance 2018 seems to reuse one of the dancer's outfits as well as the background

Unused Routines#

Routines for songs present in the final game that either got replaced, reworked or scrapped entirely.

Don't Stop Me Now#

Watch on YouTubeDon't Stop Me Now by Queen had a completely different routine and outfit compared then the final version, with the only similarity being the background (with slight edits). Notably, there is no assets made for this routine besides unfinished pictograms, suggesting it was scrapped early in development.

RADICAL (Alternate)#

Watch on YouTubeRADICAL by Dyro and Dannic has a completely unused routine, that went ultimately scrapped in the final game. This was intended as RADICAL's original alternate routine, but was replaced by the Helmet Version in the final game, which reuses the dancers from Animals by Martin Garrix. This routine is significantly more finished compared to the last routine, including finished assets and pictograms.

Titanium (Alternate)#

Watch on YouTubeTitanium by David Guetta ft. Sia was meant to have an alternate routine in the form of a trio stage performance. Unlike other scrapped routines, there was no replacement or rework for this routine. In the final game, Titanium has no alternate routine to fill the gap that the exclusion of this routine left. No assets were created for this routine, suggesting it was scrapped early in development.
