Unused Units#
Some units don't exist in the final game but there are some their traces in files.
There are icons for unused units.

A demon pig, a giant turtle, and a goblin rogue have also dialogue icons.

Unused unit models (including strange paragons of human faction)

And unused localization strings (HeroesOldenEra_Data\StreamingAssets\Core.zip\Lang\english\texts\unitsAbility.json) including previously unmentioned basilisks:
{"sid":"trickster_name","text":"Trickster"},
{"sid":"trickster_narrativeDescription","text":"A strange fox from a distant land that found a home in Jadame, seamlessly blending in. Known for their independence, these creatures share a mysterious bond with spirits, weaving illusions to ensnare their prey. There are whispers tell of a rare few with incredible sentience, though none have ever witnessed one speak."},
{"sid":"trickster_passive_1_name","text":"Trick"},
{"sid":"trickster_passive_1_description","text":"While there are any alive Trickster Illusions on the battlefield, the Trickster itself doesn’t take any Damage."},
{"sid":"trickster_ability_1_name","text":"Fox o’ Nine Tails"},
{"sid":"trickster_ability_1_description","text":"Creates a Trickster Illusion on the battlefield with reduced stats."},
{"sid":"basilisk_name","text":"Basilisk"},
{"sid":"basilisk_narrativeDescription","text":"Ancient reptiles that survived past cataclysms; probably one of the first predators in Jadame. With their deadly poison and magical gaze ability, these beasts are now sought by ambitious generals as weapons of war."},
{"sid":"basilisk_passive_1_name","text":"Deadly Glance"},
{"sid":"basilisk_passive_1_description","text":"If target enemy creature has fewer than {0}% of its original units, it is destroyed immediately."},
{"sid":"basilisk_passive_2_name","text":"Basilisk Poison"},
{"sid":"basilisk_passive_2_description","text":"The lower the target’s tier is, the more Damage it takes: +{0}% Damage per tier of difference."},
Hero Placeholders#
Placeholders for faction heroes. Interestingly, there is no icon for heroes of the Dungeon faction, but there is an icon for heroes of the Dwarf faction.
Unused Code#
{
"key": "Water",
"val":
{
"soundSetName": "sounds/world_map/music/water"
}
},
There is a code for water terrain music theme (in HeroesOldenEra_Data\StreamingAssets\Core.zip\DB\map_music_sounds.json) despite the fact that heroes can't be placed on water squares.
Unused Objects#
Object barracks_neutral_5 can be placed on the map via map editor but heroes can't interact with it.
Localization strings for this object are:
{"sid":"barracks_neutral_5_name","text":"Abandoned Tower"},
{"sid":"barracks_neutral_5_description","text":"You can recruit Manticores in this dwelling."},
{"sid":"barracks_neutral_5_narrativeDescription","text":"Manticores favor high places, nesting where they can spot prey from miles away."},
Mentioned manticores don't exist in the released game.
