Sub-Pages#

Unused Sprites#

Intro#

A handwritten "うれむ" ("Uremu", or sorrow) appears on a variation of Relena's cheek when viewing her face tiles in debug mode.

Character Select#

A preliminary version of Wing's portrait. This palette was near the rest of the portraits and appears to match fairly well, though the original palette is likely removed.

Vayeate#

Four unassigned sprites likely meant for variants of their standing qcf special move or possible Weapon button attacks.

Unused Music#

An early version of the Versus screen music is in the sound data with no pointer that directs to it.

Use Pro Action Replay (PAR) code 8180091A to enter a debug menu before the title screen.

Selecting OBJ TEST opens a sprite and tile viewer, which displays a sprite, two pages of tiles, and the current palette. The controls are:

  • D-Pad: Show the previous/next frame for the current sprite.
  • X + D-Pad: Change which sprite is being displayed (note: the first frame of every sprite is always blank).
  • Y + D-Pad: Change the sprite's position on-screen.
  • B + D-Pad: Cycle through the available palettes.
  • L/R + D-Pad: Change which set of tiles is displayed on the left/right side of the screen, respectively.

A very similar object viewer is present in another Bandai/Natsume game, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition.
