Frises (EXL 100)

Frises is a little educational pattern-creation program. Versions for the Thomson TO and MO computers also exist; those were shipped in a compilation datasette that also features Symétries et Translations (a symmetry/translation game), Tables d'Operations (a mathematical operation table game), and Classement (an object classification game).

Hidden Credit#

Some parameters in the game's Exelbasic code are direct references to the game's programmer:

  • ZM and ZMIRO appear in the loading/title screen routine.
  • The function ZMI(x,y) appears in the gameplay routines.
  • ERIC appears in the pattern editor routine, storing the amount of created patterns.

Combined, they form the name of Éric Zmiro, a programmer for EH Services.
