This is a sub-page of Proto:Rayman 3 (GameCube)/E3 Prototype.
Note: Red colored names means that the audio doesn't play in the prototype but is still present within the game's data.
Early Music#
Crossing the Swamp#
The track that plays during the main menu screen. Its length was shortened in the prototype but other than that, it's identical to its final version.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The House in the Swamp#
Other than the audio being compressed, the track sounds identical to its final version in terms of composition.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
Bégoniax -Cauldron Chaos-#
The prototype is missing a bunch of musical notes for the violin and the clarinet instrument was removed in the final.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The Magic Mirror#
The track is seemingly shorter in the prototype and plays the same tune infinitely, while in the final it was extended along with the addition of an ending.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
Let the Hunt Begin!#
The brass organ sounds like it was changed in the final version. Additionally, in the prototype, there are more brass instruments playing during the build-up of the song's intro.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
Whispers from Beyond the Gate#
Very different from the final in terms of tune. The track leitmotifs the Land of The Livid Dead's main theme, specifically the first half of the song, with the tempo being increased by around 5%. In the final game, this track was moved to Stage 3 of the same level, and is heard when a Griskin opens a portal to the Tower of Light after being freed by Rayman.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
Hoodoo#
The Hoodoo has a different theme in the prototype which only plays during his introductory cutscene, where he casts an energy shield around a Hoodmonger Private. There is no proper music playing in the background during combat like it does in the final game.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The Armaguiddon ~Off We Go~#
The prototype plays an early version of the final song's first section while also cutting about 20 seconds from the intro. The buzz and rattle sound effects were replaced in the final with drums and a synth instrument. The ending was also slightly altered in the final, removing one sound effect.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The Armaguiddon ~It's an Ambush!~#
In the prototype, the melody of the synth plays on a lower octave. In the final version, the track itself was extended, changed the pitch for the sound effects, and the flute organ is now repeated 2-3 times.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The Armaguiddon ~Lying Low 1~#
Other than the audio being compressed, the track sounds identical to its final version in terms of composition.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The Armaguiddon ~Bell Tower~#
Composition-wise, the track sounds almost identical to its final version, minus the animal-like screeching sound effect which was removed. An ending was also added in the final which is very abrupt.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The Armaguiddon ~Hall of Mirrors 1~#
The water drip sound effect was reverbed in the final version.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The Armaguiddon ~Shootout in the Pillar Room~#
Other than some changes in the volume channels, the music track sounds identical to the final version.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The Armaguiddon ~Through the Ruins~#
The prototype cuts 1 second of the track's intro. Everything else is identical to the final version.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
The Armaguiddon ~Chaos~#
The prototype uses a rather incomplete version of the final track that lasts around 40 seconds before skipping to the end. The squeaking metal sound effects were replaced with an industrial steam noise in the final.
|
Prototype |
Final |
|---|---|
Scrapped Music#
A small batch of music tracks that never made it into the final build, deeming them exclusive for this prototype.
The Hoodmonger Officer#
An early battle theme for the Hoodlums.
The Hoodmonger Private#
A music track that is identical to "The Hoodmonger Officer" with some minor changes in terms of composition.
The Sniper#
Another early battle theme for the Hoodlums. This one consists of 3 different versions, with the tempo of the last two increased by 12%.
Characters#
Rayman#
Various noises that Rayman makes over the course of the prototype. In this prototype, he sounds like he was voiced by Emmanuel Garijo, Rayman's French voice actor.

Various voicelines from Globox, which are used in Special Invaders. The dialogue sounds like it was recorded by Douglas Rand, who voiced Globox during the game's pre-rendered cutscenes. Notably, his personality is closer to Rayman 2 than the final.

A bunch of unused voicelines from Begoniax that have a different voice actress once again. The dialogue seems to be based off of one of the game's earlier scripts, in which a bird called the "Wooglah" was wounded during mid-flight and ended up landing Rayman and Globox to the Bog of Murk. Rayman then would have to find Begoniax and ask her for a cure to treat the injured bird.
