Graphical Differences

This article has a talk page!
view on tcrf.net

This is a sub-page of Proto:Genshin Impact/CBT1.

To do:

  • Get screenshots of the other menus, such as the co-op menu, settings, and shops.
  • Need screenshots of other common differences, such as the Hilichurl huts and collectible materials.

In-game UI#

  • The Paimon Menu (Pause Menu) is represented by a different Paimon icon; the new icon is more in the style of the other icons. This icon was used until v1.0.
  • The currently selected character is hidden on the CBT1 UI, akin to how character switching works on Android and iOS.
  • The character key bindings are not shown in the CBT1 UI. They are still switched using the 1, 2 and 3 keys, though.
  • The Event Overview, Adventurer Handbook, Chat and Wish buttons are missing, as their respective menus have not been implemented yet.
  • A divider is in between the Elemental Sight and Inventory icons.
  • The health bar has a small heart icon.
  • The minimap is blank in CBT1, acting more like a simple radar.
  • The text "Test version. Not indicative of final game" is present at the bottom of the screen at all times.
  • The game does not use a unique mouse cursor yet, instead just using whatever you have as the standard mouse cursor in Windows.

Paimon Menu (Pause)#

  • The general style of the menu is different. The current style wouldn't be implemented until CBT3.
  • The menu is oriented to the right side of the screen instead of the left.
  • A lot of options are not implemented in this menu, making most menus only accessible through the keyboard.
    • The Namecards (user profile theme) are not implemented.
    • The birthday option is not implemented.
  • The maximum stamina is displayed in the CBT1 menu.
  • The "Log Out" button would be replaced by a small "Quit Game" button.

General World Differences#

Seelies#

Seelies (called "Fairies" in CBT1) take on a more particle-like appearance, and the Seelie Courts they return to are lantern pedestals instead. Unlike their later counterparts, they emit ambient light.

Water#

Water is much more detailed in CBT1, being shinier and exhibiting prominent ripples and caustics. It would receive adjustments along the way (slight alterations to color and ripples) until CBT3, where it was modified to its current, flatter look.

Font#

CBT1 used a font by reeji named "Reeji-CloudXio-GBK." Starting with CB1.1, the font was changed "Hanyi WenHei" (tweaked for the game), by Hanyi Fonts.
