Test Characters#Incomplete characters, or those made specifically for testing purposes. It's no secret that Genshin Impact's characters are cookie cutter, derived from one of five types. Internally, they are named boy, girl, lady, loli and male. Within CBT1's files, some of the base models for these character types can be found. avatar_boy_bow_aquaria#Uses Razor's assets. Pretty much identical, but there is a negligible difference: The left sleeve is a bit flatter. It's unclear whether this is just an earlier incarnation of Razor, or if it's actually a placeholder for a different character altogether.
avatar_boy_sword_naked#A naked base model for the "boy" character type. Its eyes don't appear to be properly textured, and the skin tone of its face is different from the rest of its body.
avatar_girl_claymore_claymoregirl#A naked base model for the "girl" character type.
avatar_lady_sword_testlady#A naked base model for the "lady" character type.
avatar_male_sword_testman#A naked base model for the "male" character type. A specific texture set doesn't exist in the files, and to make matters worse, neither nude textures map correctly to its body. It also has its eyes as a separate model, rather than being tied to the body. To approximate its look, the "Avatar_BoyT_Sword_CommonBoy" textures were used for its body and face, with Kate's eyes being used for the separate eye model.
Beidou#Playable as of CBT2
Klee#Became playable in CBT2. Klee is nearly unchanged, with her textures only receiving minor touch-ups before release. Most notably, her gloves were improved.
nudeheroine_type_01#A naked girl model using Kate's head.
testheroine_type_01#It's Kate! She comes with two sets of textures in black and in red. This character also has a duplicate named "Kevin", perhaps referring to the character of the same name from Honkai Impact 3rd, another game by miHoYo. This is nothing more than a placeholder for the Traveler, and will likely never become a proper playable character. The red variant has a party icon. There is also a character icon for her, though it appears to be based on "nudeheroine_type_01", despite mentioning Kate in the filename.
Xingqiu#Became playable in CBT2. His Vision is Cryo instead of Hydro, indicating that he may have been planned to have a different moveset. Of the characters listed on this page, he is the only one with a different element from his released counterpart.
Yaoyao#Playable as of v3.4.
Unused Characters#Characters that only exist as assets in the game's files. Chongyun#Playable as of v1.0. Nearly identical to his released counterpart, barring some touch-ups to the detail and shading of his clothes.
Diona#Playable as of v1.1. Diona's hat is larger and shaped a bit differently.
Fischl#Became playable in CBT2.
Hu Tao#Playable as of v1.3. Although her general design is the same, there are several minor differences from her released iteration.
Kaedehara Kazuha#Playable as of v1.6. His overall design is the same, but with a few minor differences.
Mimi#Mimi is an earlier design of Sangonomiya Kokomi, who first appeared in v2.0 as an NPC, and became playable in v2.1. While they share some similarities, Mimi's design is almost completely different.
Mona#Playable as of v1.0.
Ningguang#Playable as of CBT2. Her Vision is darker, but there don't appear to be any other notable differences.
Noelle#Playable as of CBT2.
Qiqi#Playable as of v1.0.
Rosaria#
First appeared in v1.2 as an NPC, and became playable in v1.4.
Sayu#Playable as of v2.0. Sayu doesn't appear to be any different from her released counterpart, apart from maybe a few unnoticeable texture adjustments. She comes with separate models for her hood up and down.
Shenhe#Playable as of v2.4. This iteration of Shenhe features an earlier design, almost as different as Mimi is to Kokomi.
Thoma#Spelt as "Tohma" in this version. First appeared in v2.0 as an NPC, and became playable in v2.2.
Xiao#Was playable during CBT2, and officially released in v1.3. His mask has different details.
Yunjin#Playable as of v2.4.
Zhongli#Playable as of v1.1. Zhongli is almost exactly the same, except for a having a tassel attached to his fake Vision.
