This is a sub-page of Proto:Genshin Impact/CB1.2.
CB1.2 added more characters to the standard playable lineup, and also has new test characters since CBT1!
Additionally, the same unused character models found in CB1.3 are also found here.
Test Characters#
Many of the test characters found in CB1.2 are identical to their iterations found in CBT1. Only the new or altered test characters will be covered here, excluding those that have become proper playable characters.
Most of these characters are nameless in English due to the translation in CB1.2 being incomplete.
Note: The Hilichurl being attacked in the videos below has invincibility turned on to keep it alive while showing the combat effects of these characters.
Bennett#
- Placeholder UI assets are used.
- Normal attacks appear to be the same as final.
- Skill works similar to final, though not exactly.
- Pressing the skill executes two Pyro slashes: A spin and an overhead slash. It can be spammed due to no cooldown.
- Hold, Level 1 works the same as final, but is a bit faster.
- Hold, Level 2 works the same as final, though it has a Baron Bunny explosion sound.
- Burst works the same as final, healing and buffing Attack. The thumbs-up inside the circle is smaller, and Bennett's animation is unfinished, making him go cross-eyed.
Chongyun#
- Uses Aether's model and Razor's idle animation as placeholders.
- Uses Beidou's normal attack, and Diluc's charged attack.
- Skill places down a Rainslasher claymore in the ground that emits Cryo over time.
- Using the skill again will cause the claymore to spin towards Chongyun and deal...Pyro damage?
- Holding the skill will place down another claymore. Multiple can exist at a time, and using the skill again will make them all spin towards Chongyun and deal Pyro damage.
- Burst uses Diluc's animation, though it only performs a slash.
Fischl#
- Fischl is still using her original uncensored design from her unused appearance in CBT1.
- Most of Fischl's animations are borrowed from Amber, including her idle dance from CBT1. Her dress is not properly animated yet, often clipping through her limbs, or flipping randomly.
- Uses Amber's normal attack. The charged attack is, well...Diluc's burst.
- Skill summons an Electro Cicin in place of Oz. It mostly functions the same, but will only attack when Fischl attacks.
- Holding the skill to aim it lacks any kind of reticle.
- Burst turns Fischl into an Electro ball that inflicts Electro on contact with enemies. Since it has no cooldown, it can be stacked to multiply Fischl's movement speed during the burst.
Klee#
- Normal attack can throw up to three bombs, with the third bomb being a Pyro Slime as a placeholder. Klee doesn't have a charged attack yet.
- Skill throws out a bouncing bomb that bursts into Pyro sparks and creates an updraft you can glide with. The sparks will explode and knock back the enemy that makes contact with them.
- Completely different burst. It creates a bomb generator above Klee's head, and increases her movement speed with sparks coming out of her backpack.
- If she glides using the updrafts it creates, the camera will lock the angle above Klee to show her dropping bombs and causing doomsday.
- The fires it creates can tank the game's framerate due to the sheer amount.
RxWhiteBox#
An "updated" version of Xingqiu White Box from CBT1.
It's been significantly downgraded from its previous version, now lacking sounds for its sword slashes, and without a proper attack for its skill. Basically, it's been stripped of its abilities from CBT1.
Tartaglia#
- Childe's in an...interesting state in CB1.2. His model is present, but the textures are not. His textures appear to be borrowed from Kaeya, and his face is covered in black, unintentionally making him resemble Batman.
- His normal attacks with a bow are unrefined, but similar to final.
- Using his charged attack with a bow exhibits him aiming with Venti's stance. He can mark enemies with his charged attack, which seems to have the same properties as final.
- He can switch to a melee stance using his skill, as usual. An Electro effect plays out upon being used, and the attack animations appear to be borrowed from Kaeya. It deals Hydro damage, as expected.
- Burst cannot be used.
Xingqiu#

Xingqiu has been updated since CBT1.
- His normal attacks animate more smoothly now.
- Skill has two charges, essentially being a separated version of his final skill. Both charges have to be used back-to-back for him to do the flip. Its animation is stilted and unrefined.
- Burst creates placeholder crosses that circle around Xingqiu and generate in the surrounding areas, inflicting Hydro. He appears to be using the same animation as Xiao's burst upon casting it.
