To do: Use the prototype IPAs that exist as comparisons instead of YouTube footage. Also, try to access the debug menu and get the version number.

On December 16, 2023, a footage prototype of Bad Piggies was uploaded to YouTube, possibly related to the small fragment of TestFlight prototype builds released and removed in the Modding Hub on the same day.

The original footage uploaded to YouTube has horrible image quality, lack of audio, and the screen has wrong orientation. It wasn't until the next day that a recording that included sound would be uploaded to YouTube.

Differences#

• The Rovio logo is based on the ones in older Angry Birds games, without any text.
• At the bottom left of the screen is an FPS counter.
• Unsurprisingly, this prototype has debug tools enabled.
• Cheat tools also exist, located at the top left of the screen.
• This prototype is based on the Bad Piggies trial, offering payment to unlock all levels
• Cutscenes use moving images rather than slow camera pans, reminiscent of Angry Birds Rio.
• Mechanic Pig is just a minion pig in the cutscenes.
• Uses checkmark to end cutscenes instead of a skip button, once again, similar to older classic Angry Birds games.
• Either TNT deals less damage to vehicles, or vehicles have more health.
• Star icons are squares and don't have the pig judging the stars. Also, the screen dosen't shake when stars are "hitting the screen".
• When displaying the time left in a level, the prototype does not use a clock, and instead uses the word "TIME".
• The credits are implemented but do not feature any names. In place of the names are placeholders.
• This prototype lacks the menu cogwheel
• The loading icon is different from the final.
• The game does not have music.
• The sound used when collecting Starbox is a placeholder from Angry Birds Seasons.
• Delete and checkmark buttons are green.
• The icon used for zooming out is different.
• Ross' voiceclips are different compared to the final.
• The app icon features a pig floating on a balloon instead of the pig by itself.
• The Wooden Frame is thicker than the original.
• Ross has no freckles.
