Tetris X is the first console Tetris game to be released after Alexey Pajitnov's license with Elorg had expired and he had gotten back the rights to Tetris, which led to the creation of The Tetris Company.
It also features a 4-player battle mode starring the playable characters from Tetris Battle Gaiden.

The drum tracks for all of the music tracks don't play properly. However, the drum track data is not broken. It's likely the sound driver has problems managing the maximum amount of notes that can be played at one time. When converting these tracks to MIDI using a tool, you can hear these drum tracks.
