Tetris 2 is the so-called "sequel" to Nintendo's NES rendition of the classic game (in the same way that Pac-Man 2 is the sequel to Pac-Man). It's a sort of mish-mash of Tetris and Dr. Mario, and while nowhere near as iconic as either, it's still solid fun in its own right.
Not to be confused with Bullet-Proof Software's Japan-only sequel to their version of Tetris.
CHR Test#
In all versions, Game Genie code GAUKLVZE lets you access a CHR Test by pressing Reset.
Music Test#
In all versions, Game Genie code IAUKLVZE lets you access a Music Test by pressing Reset.
Oddly, it refers to the game as "Tetris 3". While a reasonable guess would be that it's including Tetris 2 + BomBliss (which had been released two years earlier), TOSE had nothing to do with that game.

To do: |
A stone tablet with a snake, similar to those used for CPU difficulty levels in both versions.
A stone statue.
Strange UFO-esque creatures that sort of resemble the viruses from Dr. Mario.
- Part of the title screen of the Japanese version is obscured by a black box at the bottom, but its CHR data is still present in the CHR ROM.
- International versions contain part of the Japanese title screen.
Unused Music#
There is a song present in the ROM that is not present in the Game Boy version. It sounds as if it were meant as a cutscene theme, but none of the cutscenes play it.

The Japanese version has a very different, animated title screen. The international versions have a much plainer, static title screen.
