This is a sub-page of South Park: The Stick of Truth (Windows)/Unused Graphics.

The Combat Stage is a gold mine of many changed, and flat out unused stuff.

During the game's development Obsidian Entertainment couldn't really make up their mind on what the menu's should look like. Because of that we got stuff like this!

A set of graphics for PC control scheme, where the UI was supposed be much more different then the "Radial" look we got.

A whole early layout of the Console control scheme, with adjacent unused graphics. This can be seen in the prototypes.

An early graphic closely resembling the "Radial" menu we got in the retail release. The interesting thing is that the metadata shows this graphic pre-dates the earlier PC and Consoles menu's by 5 months. Presumably Obsidian didn't like how it looked, and decided to revert back to the old ones they used, to then finally returning to the radial design.

A graphic meant for an EXTREMELY early version of the ability section. Also titled as "ability_radial"

HUD#

A bunch of graphics related to the HUD

Graphic meant for selecting an ability. This can be seen in some prototypes.

An unused background meant for the description of an ability. This too can be seen in some prototypes.

An early version of the PP meter. This can be seen in some prototypes, alongside other related graphics.

Two graphics related to each other, meant for the PP Counter.

A bunch of numbers meant for the PP Counter. The one thing to note is that the Power Point mechanic was drastically changed during the development, thus these only count up to 10

A prompt to swap weapons meant for the early Console control scheme.

A tutorial prompt meant for the early Console control scheme.

An early banner, used for multiple things.

An early prompt for blocking an attack.

A graphic for a scrapped Status Effect called "Fucked Up", which we could inflict on our enemies by using an attack that the opponent is "weak" against.

A graphic titled "action", in the prototypes this was used as a prompt to show when to hit enemies. Another thing to note is that in the last few frames there's a visible prompt to block, which is used in the Tutorial

An EXTREMELY early graphic/button depicting a sword with a blue circle, suggesting that this was the "Attack" button with the blue circle presumably being the "X" button.

An EXTREMELY early graphic depicting a small cross with a yellow circle, suggesting that this was a "Heal" button of some sorts, with the yellow circle presumably being the "Y" button.

Two EXTREMELY early graphics depicting shields, one being bright and mostly yellow, and the other being more unsaturated and purple. Possibly meaning that the player can block the attack, while the other that the player has failed to block an attack or just doesn't need to.

Abilities#

An interesting graphic to say the least titled "widget_penis", judging by the nature of it, it's most likely an early prompt for the "Circum-Scythe" or "Circumcision" (as it was originally titled) ability for the Jew Class.

A graphic for a prompt titled "widget_bulb".

VFX

A TON of leftover VFX for various abilities are still left in the files. Most of these are seen in some prototypes, but some never saw the light of day...

New Kid#

Three animations of Tinfoil breaking, meant for the scrapped "Armor of Reymonds" and "Spike Armor" abilities.

Four animations for a scrapped ability called "Web of Shadows"

A single graphic, and an animation of a Cardboard box meant for a scrapped ability called "Vanish" or "Stealth"

An single animation of a Timebomb being thrown on the ground meant for a ability called "Timebomb"

Several animations of different colored Smokebombs being thrown on the ground meant for a ability called "Smokebombs"

Two animations meant for a scrapped ability called "Sidestep"

Jew#

Two animations meant for a scrapped ability called "Shofar of Sounding"

Companions#

Kyle#

Two animations meant for a scrapped ability called "Elven Waybread"'

Stan#

An unused animation of Sparky going after a discus and biting something. Possibly an earlier iteration of "Marked for Death" quick move.

A bunch of leftovers from way back when "Marked For Death" quick move was an standalone ability. The last animation is for failing the QTE, while the rest are idle animations.
