On February 13, 2018, South Park: The Stick of Truth was re-released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 worldwide, replacing the DLC with Ubisoft Club rewards, alongside other changes. The game was then ported to the Nintendo Switch on September 25, 2018.

General Differences#

  • The game first displays a health and safety warning upon booting up.
  • The "Press START" prompt is replaced by "Press (action button)" and the player is required to use the action button to enter the main menu.
  • The Ultimate Fellowship Pack and Super Samurai Spaceman Pack items are now included separately through Ubisoft Club rewards.
    • As of October 2020, Ubisoft Club was merged into Ubisoft Connect, and thus, these rewards are automatically unlocked.
  • The entire game now runs at 60fps but the Switch version remains at 30fps. However, the cutscenes ran at 30fps but it introduces bugs on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One where the character sprites don't play proper animation making the character sprites facing towards camera instead. The confrontation with Cartman and Jimmy the Bard before the boss fight in the quest "The Bard" is an example of this bug.
  • Loading into battles takes a few seconds instead of about a second.
