Alternate Weapon Introductions
All weapons types, with the exception of Boson Darts and Slime Tethers, were intended to be introduced at the Firehouse. These alternate introductions were used in the Stylized version released for the Wii and PS2. Lines highlighted in blue are used in the final version of the game.
Alternate Shock Blast Introduction#
The Shock Blast was originally intended to be introduced after returning to the Firehouse from Times Square. Some of the voice clips were reused in the final version which introduces the Shock Blast in the Library.

Here's something new that Egon and I have been developing. The Shockblast expels a conical pattern of stripped dark matter particles that diffuse quickly in the atmosphere. It's very powerful at close range, but less accurate and less potent the further you are from your target. We expect that it will work well on inbound ghosts and vapor swarms or near-proximity entities. |

Alternate Slime Blower Introduction#
Rather than being introduced before the Eleanor Twitty boss battle in the Library, the Slime Blower was intended to be introduced in the third Firehouse scene, before the Museum level.

Unused Cutscene Dialogue
It can be assumed the Firehouse cutscenes, with the exception of CS_FH1_01a and CS_FH1_02, were animated three months before development at most, as they are not present in the March 23, 2009, prototype build, and unfinished in-game cutscenes are present instead. Sections are named after their names in the February 11, 2008 draft of the script. Notes are included where necessary to understand the context of the lines.
Cut Scene 1B - Intro the Recruit#
Before the Firehouse tutorial was added, the CS_FH1_01a and CS_FH1_02 cutscenes were intended to be one cutscene. Lines highlighted in blue were intended to be used in the cutscene but were instead used in gameplay.

Your pack's equipped with an automatic searchlight that's operated by a photovoltaic cell and a rudimentary AI brain. Works great. Most of the time. Egon's still working on the brain. |
Whoa! Wait up! |
Slimer! Come on, Boy! I've got a nice fatty slab of, uh, fat here with your name on it! |
Clinical detachment, Ray. Remember? |

When the bar drops and your vision starts to get hazy, step back and take a breather. You'll be fine again in no time. |
The proton pack generates plenty of energy, so you never need ammo. But it can overheat, and that will cause problems. When the pack reaches critical temperature It will temporarily shut itself down to prevent explosion. |
The pack allows you to mount new prototype equipment as we develop it. The equipment that's currently mounted is displayed here, by the color of these cyclotronic indicators, as well as the state of the pack itself. |
You got all that, or do you want to run through it again? |
There it is! Truly disgusting and not even a little ashamed. |
If you throw it on a ghost that's still at peak energy levels, though, you can be in for a real fight! |
Uh, looks like Orca's getting hungry again. You'd better harpoon it quick. |
It's still too powerful! You've got to disperse more of its energy first! |
You're working against the clock, here! Ghosts can regenerate PK energy if you give them enough time! |
Hurry! Before it accumulates all its strength back! |
Aw, man. That's okay. Let's start again. |
Yeah, they'll do that if you let 'em. |
You'll get the hang of it. Just need a little practice. |
Not too shabby, slick. Now we'll just put this one back where we found him. |
So, you got all that? Or do you want me to let this one out and we run through it again? |
We'll catch him later! Let's get this other guy under control! |
Violently. |
