FIFA 99: Major League Soccer (PlayStation)

To do: There might still be more to find with regional differences, mainly between the US and European versions of the game.

This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

The fifth (counting World Cup 98) FIFA game released on the PlayStation, FIFA '99 is just that. Nuff said.

Regional Differences#

There are slight differences between the Japanese and International versions of the game.

Title Screen#

International	Japanese

The Japanese title screen was brightened significantly. A copyright date was also added.

EA Sports 1999 Promo Video#

The International version has a promotional video that plays after the EA Sports logo, which advertises games getting a '99 release. The Japanese version, having been released in 1999, understandably never uses this video. However, the video is still on the Japanese disc, under the name XSELLPSX.XA.

Main Menu#

International	Japanese

The layout of the main menu was changed completely for the Japanese release.
