To do:
#F-Zero GP Legend Leftovers, it looks very bare bones. Needs real expansion.

F-Zero Climax brings, at long last, a track editor without expensive hardware! Also, a combination of the original and new boost types.

It's probably best known for being the last new F-Zero game for nearly 20 years, until the series finally made a comeback with F-Zero 99.

Editor#

Sand Storm#

loop

Under normal circumstances, the only version of Sand Ocean that can be used in Edit Courses is the calm version seen in the High Speed Edge courses. However, by scrolling one entry after Illusion on the location select screen - either by setting address 3004300 to 0B or by entering the Action Replay v3 code 6F9D401E 0A85A69C - one can create a course set in the "sand storm" version of Sand Ocean seen in the Key Break course and certain Challenge Mode stages. A rom hack exists that enables Sand Storm in the editor.

Passwords using this version of this stage are perfectly valid, though the Save/Load screen claims that the course is set in Mute City rather than Sand Ocean, hinting that it may never have been intended for use with the editor.

Jump Plate Overlapping Pieces#

It is also possible to overlap vertical 3x3 jump plate tiles with horizontal 1x1 pieces, but only through an external editor, and not with horizontal 3x3 jump plate tiles with vertical 1x1 pieces, complete with valid passwords.

For some reason, the game has English copyright screen graphics from GP Legend.

The used Climax version of this message was redrawn with a different English font, despite it being originally Japanese in Falcon Densetsu.

The game also contains the entire soundtrack from the previous game, even though it's only partially used.
