Unused Videos#

ActionPrototyping#

These videos, found in the folder "ActionPrototyping" , are similar to the unused videos in the demo, all of them being storyboards of the events of Episode 1. They seem to be early scenes of Mecha Man infiltrating the steel mill. The "TimedPromptProto" in the files' names imply these were prototype videos for quick time events. The events of the videos point to failed QTE's having more of an impact than they do in the final game. These videos were removed in version 1.0.15487.

TimedPromptProto_Setup01#

This video is the setup to the QTE of this scene, as implied by the file name. It has Mecha Man flying over the steelmill and ejecting himself, then gliding down. The hang at the end is probably when the QTE would have started.

TimedPromptProto_Setup01a#

This video is the same as the previous one, but the "a" in its name implies this was meant to be an alternate version.

TimedPromptProto_Success01#

This video would play if the player beat the QTE, hence the "Success" in its name. In it, Mecha Man lands stealthily and takes down three guards.

TimedPromptProto_Fail_TooEarly#

The "Fail_TooEarly" part of this video's name implies this video would play if the player failed the QTE by acting too early. In it, Mecha Man uses his thrusters too early and has to take down the first guard less discreetly, then take down the other two.

TimedPromptProto_Fail_TooLate#

The "Fail_TooLate" part of this video's name implies this video would play if the player failed the QTE by acting too late. In it, Mecha Man uses his thrusters too late and has to take down the first guard reactively, then take down the other two.

StartupMovies#

Default_Startup_Switch#

Present in the folder "StartupMovies" is this startup video. Its name implies the game was planned to release on the Nintendo Switch. It can be found with the startup videos for the PC and PS5 version of the game. Unlike the other platforms, this video has the logo for PlayEveryWare present. PlayEveryWare is a platform development team that assists indie developers in porting and publishing their games on multiple platforms.
