Beatmania IIDX 3rd style (Arcade)

beatmania IIDX 3rd style (Arcade) beatmania IIDX 3rd Style is where the IIDX series began to distance itself from the original beatmania in terms of the overall new direction of its music and artwork.

Unused Graphics#

Song Selection Screen#

Within SEL16.MGP are several unused title graphics:

IIDX3-calcutta.png
IIDX3-rocket.png
These two graphics are title graphics for the songs Odoru! Fukujinzuke (CALCUTTA) and dong tepo no.1, though they use their titles from beatstage II 2nd style, the Korean version of beatmania IIDX 2nd style. However, 3rd style was not released in that country.

This graphic, however, is more intriguing. Tomoyuki Uchida (a.k.a. Mr.T) would not appear in a BEMANI title as a composer until KeyboardMania 2ndMIX, with the song Ride on the Light, a remix of which would later appear in beatmania IIDX 5th style.

Title Cards#

CULCUT.MGP and DONTEP.MGP, the graphic repositories of songs Odoru! Fukujinzuke (CALCUTTA) and dong tepo no.1, still have graphics for title cards which reflect their appearances in beatstage II 2nd style.

2nd style Leftovers#

The graphics below are leftovers from beatmania IIDX 2nd style.

SCRL16.MGP would have been displayed in the attract sequence if the machine was connected to Dance Dance Revolution 2ndMIX.

SBPRAC.MGP, SBEASY.MGP, SBNORM.MGP, and SBCLUB.MGP are background graphics for the 4 Keys, 5 Keys, 7 Keys, and Expert modes. Save for the 5 Keys mode background, their palettes still exist.

Furthermore, the first image in DEMO256.MGP contains a tile from that game's How to Play screen.

Burn dates can be found in the title of revision JAA and JAB's program disc images. The JAC revision just has a generic title.
