This game is defunct.
Do note the game no longer works at all without modifications. This is most likely due to the game's servers being shut down (as of December 8, 2023). As a result, further official developments with the game are unlikely to happen.

Battlefield: Bad Company is a console-exclusive spiritual successor to Battlefield 2, featuring destructible environments, fun characters and great multiplayer gameplay. It was also the first title to debut on DICE's brand-new Frostbite engine.

Unfortunately, EA shut down the game's master server on 8 December 2023, alongside removal from all digital stores on 28 April 2023, effectively making the game abandonware.

Four placeholder icons presumably used for multiplayer testing as the thumbs up and down images reference ELO, a common rating system used for determining player skill in games with matchmaking systems.

Characters#

The audio-only character Mike-One-Juliet is referred to as "Miss July" in-game by Sweetwater, however all of the game files referring to her use the name "Miss June".

Map Names#

Within the game files, filenames for various maps often differ from their final, user-facing titles.

Singleplayer#

NOTE: SP_04 does not exist. Starting with "Par For The Course", the level names are incremented by one so SP_05_Par_for_the_course is labelled SP04: Par For The Course and so on.
