Unused Areas#
These following areas can be loaded in-game via modifying the game's save file, by changing the value in VAR_ROOMNAME="(area)"
These two areas feature the old CowCat logo as it's file select icon.
PCTEST#
A testing area with only 3 interactions, the background for the area doesn't load in properly.
BMTEST#
Another area used for testing, this time for character fights, only works on older versions of the game prior to Brawl Bar DLC's release, otherwise the game will crash.
Inaccessible Areas#
Some of these areas are only used in cutscenes, however can be loaded and explored in via save file editing.
PC13#
The area for the cutscene where Brok and Graff look at the view, it has collision detection in most areas except for the bottom of the cliff in which the player can walk on.
This area was eventually made as a playable area for BROK: The Brawl Bar, in which now allows the player to now fall off the cliff.
Unused Items#
Found within the game are 9 unused items, these items don't have graphics associated with them, however placeholder graphics for them can be found within Prologue 1.07's files.
These items can be obtained via modifying the game's save file in the VAR_BROK_INVENTORY= variable.
- ITEM_ANT (Has an inventory icon that is used for when Brok's cooking a family meal)
- ITEM_GOATCHEESE (Has an inventory icon that is used for when Brok's cooking a family meal)
- ITEM_PEBBLES (This item cannot be picked up as a inventory item, this item is only used for a cutscene when playing as Graff during Chapter 2 to take out a drone to save the merchant.)
- ITEM_PHOENIXY
- ITEM_PHOTORIGHT
- ITEM_PHOTOWRONG
- ITEM_SPECIAL1
- ITEM_SPICE
- ITEM_WRAPPING (Dialogue for this item is still present in the files, including dialogue interactions with Guard and Dr. Mink when showing them the item.)
Obscured Graphics#

Development Leftovers#
Found in the files is a batch file named makeDemo.bat

Unused Sounds#
Debug Leftovers#
There's accessibility audio files for 4 functions for the game's debug menu, which normally go unheard as the menu is normally inaccessible in the game.
Unused Folders#
In various parts of the game's files, are many empty folders with no files in them, such as the TEMPFINAL folder within the voices folder. Many of which are leftover from development.
Crash Handler#
If the game were to crash, a crash handler pop-up will show up, with some funny text added to it.
Oddities#

To do:
|
Context Text Inconsistencies#
In the dialogue text files are various contexts of certain events in cutscenes, some of them are not depicted as should in-game.

Graff suddenly gets hit by a crowbar |
Graff doesn't get hit by a crowbar thrown by the Squealer Chief, instead it's the metal bar that was shown in the beginning of the game during Brok's first nightmare. |
Character Inconsistencies#
Squealer Rats#
The generic rats have appearance inconsistencies, their in-game sprite has no shirt on them, meanwhile their cutscene portrait has a shirt on.
It's worth noting their prototype sketch portraits have no shirts on, and the reference image for them had portraits without the shirt, but weren't used at all in the game's cutscenes; instead they were used for the lifebars.

It's also worth noting that the used in-game portraits are missing some details, and are colored differently, compared to the reference art portrait.

Tribot Cop#
The Tribot cop still has UI elements based on their earlier design from earlier builds.
Graphic Oddities#
Items#
BACK_BM01_CRATEPOWER
The sprite for the crate used in the move list tutorial uses an earlier sprite of Brok doing his strong punch attack, used in earlier builds of the game.
Game Over Screen Oddity#
Graff's gameover picture for when he dies from being electrocuted, is notably not in full, as a result half of the screen is shown black.

Move List Image Oddities#
Two of Brok's move list images, and one of Graff's use earlier sprites from earlier builds.

Achievement Image Oddity#
The image for the Pushy Pushy achievement, is taken from an earlier build of the game, as Ott uses his earlier design.
Tutorial Image Oddities#
Three tutorial images are images taken from earlier builds of the game.

Hint Image Oddities#
One of the hint images for Chapter 1, uses an image from an earlier build of the game, as Brok's sprite shown in the image uses a different art-style compared to the final game.
Much like Chapter 1, one of Chapter 4's hint images also uses an image from an earlier build, it notably has debugging features enabled.
Unlike the previous image, this one appears to be in a much earlier state of development, and is the only one that was not changed in the final game.
Along with the other Hint images, a few of them also feature Graff's earlier design with a different tail before the black tip of his tail was added.

Region Differences#
The game logo is different between regions.

Revision Differences#
A large amount of the game's content was changed with new updates.
data.win#
Earlier versions of the game had it's in-game graphics stored inside data.win, later versions of the game stored the graphics inside a folder called tex which is stored as .yytex files, likely done to speed up performance.
Graphics#
Delisture Gameover Screen#
Sometime in December 2025, the game was updated to change one of the gameover screens when Brok uses the Delisture in the pharmacy, the gameover screen for it was updated to be in color.

Clint was slightly more darker in color scheme, and was slimmer, wore a white shirt under his red hoodie vest, jeans and originally wore shoes.
While Nela had white hair, wore a red tank-top, had two gold bracelets, had less details on her jeans, and wore no shoes.

Ott#
Ott's slap animation received multiple revisions across updates.
When the game launched, Ott's slapping animation was just a single frame and couldn't be seen up close, he also looked off-model. On November 2023, the CO-OP feature was added in version 1.4.0 which added 6 different playable characters, which includes Ott, as such his slap animation was extended to 2 frames and has been given a fighting stance, his slapping animation sprites would be redrawn to look on-model once BROK: The Brawl Bar released on August 13, 2025.

Console Differences#
Main Game#
Since the Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS devices don't have an achievement system, the achievement notifications is built into the game itself for those versions.
Brawl Bar#
The Brawl Bar DLC on consoles is a separate game instead of being DLC. Due to lacking a Steam Workshop, mods are not available for it.
Internal project name#
According to the game's executable file, the game's internal name is "Brokgame".
