Thing of the Week

This is a sub-page of Prerelease:Pizza Tower.

The Thing of the Week channel was created all the way back in mid-September 2018 and updated until late-January 2023, so it's full of stuff to look through.
Only add sprites, screenshots and videos that show content that was either altered or not present in any builds.
Note for people adding stuff here: the deleted user that can be seen a ton in the channel is Mr. Sauceman.

Thing of the Week is a channel on the official Pizza Tower Discord where developers (mostly McPig) posted development images, screenshots, videos, and more. Even though most channels in the Discord were privated in early 2023, the Thing of the Week channel has remained viewable.

Peppino#

Sprites for Peppino talking. McPig used them to tell a short story about Peppino talking to Mr. Stick and cutting off Gustavo's head.

Pizzasonas#

The Pizzasonas that appear at the end of the secret areas were originally drawn and posted in early 2019, as they were for Patreon backers who paid $20 before March of that year. Of all the Pizzasonas drawn, 3 ended up not being implemented into the game.

Patreon backer [c]ness' Pizzasona. Removed at [c]ness' suggestion due to being a character from a game he wasn't working on anymore.

Patreon backer PsychoJosh's Pizzasona. In a thread on Pizza Tower's Steam Community tab, PsychoJosh says it was removed due to drama in the Discord.

One of these was likely implemented in the game at one point, as the sprites for the Pizzasonas are internally numbered up to 56, but the 8th one is missing and the code for choosing a random Pizzasona re-chooses if it chooses number 8.

Pet Concept#

At one point McPig was thinking about replacing the Pizzasona's with pets that would follow Peppino, designed by the Patreon backers who paid for the Pizzasonas. While the idea never got past this point, McPig posted these sprites as an example of what they would look like.

Shoes that the pet's body would appear on. Patreon backers would be able to choose what color their pet's shoes are.
