The Stanley Parable 2 The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is the very much critically-acclaimed sequel expansion to/remake of The Stanley Parable, moving the game away from the Source engine and onto Unity. It also adds more gameplay choices and other equally-as-hard-to-explain things.

"I get it now, Stanley! I get why sports are so popular! It makes sense to me at last!"

Appears to be an additional dialogue

ud_narrator_playtesting_part9_01

"The only thing I don't understand is who’s winning right now. Since you’re the only person playing, I guess technically you’re winning?"

ud_narrator_playtesting_part9_02

"But that means you’re also losing. Oh to hell with it! Just knock some balls around and have fun."

ud_narrator_playtesting_part11_01

"The truth is that this game is nothing but a bunch of balls and a timer, that’s all there is to it. Doesn’t it put into perspective how fascinating my game was?"

Appears to be an early take of the part where the Narrator leaves Stanley.

ud_narrator_playtesting_part11_02

"My game had a story arc! It had a beginning, a middle and an end! This game is just a bunch of middles, and nobody likes that."

ud_narrator_playtesting_part11_03

"But it’s too late to go back now, there’s no undoing the damage. From the looks of things, you’re going to be stuck here forever."

ud_narrator_playtesting_part11_04

"With no beginning and no end. Just an empty Sportsball stadium. It’s the ending you’ve earned, and I hope you’re very happy with it."

ud_narrator_playtesting_part11_05

"But me, I’ve got much better things to be doing."

ud_narrator_playtesting_part11_06

"So I’ll say goodbye and let you spend the rest of eternity dwelling on the many choices that led you to this exact spot."

ud_narrator_playtesting_part11_07

"Good luck Stanley! I hope something meaningful comes from it in the end."

"Oh! There you are! Right where I left you. Good. I was worried you were going to get bored without me but it looks like you’re finding ways of staying amused."

An early take of the section where Narrator woke Stanley up from "daydreaming" in the Infinite Hole.

ud_new_content_ii_hole_part17_01

"Of course, I know that in my position you’d never just abandon me like that. You wouldn’t run off and leave me all by my lonesome to waste away in silent misery."

ud_new_content_ii_hole_part17_02

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. That’s just not the kind of person you are."

ud_new_content_ii_hole_part17_03

"I really sincerely hope that I can one day learn to be as kind and as selfless as you."

ud_new_content_ii_hole_part17_04

"Well I’ll let you know on my next visit if I figure out how to do that! Toodle-oo!"

"Of course, another solution is to only allow people named Jim to play the game. That would actually save me a tremendous amount of development resources."

An early version of the sequence where the player leaves the Jim Button room presumambly after annoying the Narrator.

Apartment_1_BUCKET_00

"Hahahahahahaha! Got you!"

The voicelines would've played in the bucket variant of the Apartment ending. The voicelines appear to be in the similar order as the normal variant unlike the final version where the ending is shorter. The subtitles text don't exist in files aside from the escape sequence.

Apartment_1_BUCKET_01

"It's the bucket, Stanley. I'm implying that you're beared to the bucket! Isn't that hysterical?"

Apartment_1_BUCKET_02

"You have to admit it extremely clever. And I wouldn't go on the record to saying that the bucket could have never come with a plot twist like this?"

Apartment_1_BUCKET_03

"Please, come inside."

Apartment_mystory_BUCKET_00

"Hey, hey, let me tell my bucket story over here!"

Apartment_2_BUCKET_00

"This is a very sad story about Stanley and his bucket."

Apartment_3_BUCKET_00

"Stanley believed very much that he and the bucket were best friends. They went everywhere together, they shared every moment together. They were inseparable."

Apartment_4_BUCKET_00

"Over time Stanley came to feel that he and the bucket shared a special bond. They were kindred spirits, destined to be together, fated to live a life with one another."

Apartment_4_BUCKET_01

"It came to be that Stanley felt he could not be his deepest, truest self without the bucket."

Apartment_5_BUCKET_00

"And yet, there was a shock in store without hero."

Apartment_5_BUCKET_01

"For the bucket he knew would love to so dearly, which he cherished with all his heart, which he believed would always be there for him."

Apartment_5_BUCKET_02

"At the end of it all, it turned out that it was nothing more than an ordinary metal bucket! Nothing special about it at all."

Apartment_6_BUCKET_00

"For so long, I've been watching him and the bucket, watching Stanley live and his delusion that the bucket cares for him on any particular level."

Apartment_6_BUCKET_01

"It's quite infuriating to see him treat a bucket as an intellectual equal. Perhaps he says something unflattering about Stanley's intellect."

Apartment_7_BUCKET_00

"I don't know whether or not to spoil it all for him to grab him by the color and scream right in his face,"

Apartment_7_BUCKET_01

"You dolt! What you're doing, it's a bucket! The most it will ever do for you is effectively transfer a liquid from one location to a different location, that's it!"

Apartment_8_BUCKET_00

"These are the kinds of conversations I had within my head all day long, every single day. And yet, I don't know whether or not to actually say to him, to spoil it for him."

Apartment_8_BUCKET_01

"He looks so happy. He seems to truly believe that the bucket is a dear loved one."

Apartment_8_BUCKET_02

"Who am I to judge? Why ruin something so innocent and so pure?"

Apartment_9_BUCKET_00

"Oh forget it, let's ruin it for him. Stanley! Can you hear me? Listen to me, it's just a bucket! It can't think! It can't feel!"

Apartment_9_BUCKET_01

"It doesn't know your name! It doesn't share any of your taste in movies. I could literally go to any hardware store ... dozens of buckets identical to yours in every way!"

Apartment_10_BUCKET_00

"[Sigh] Okay I guess it was pointless all along, Stanley won't listen to me. He's just going to keep clinging to his bucket, his cold, empty bucket."

Apartment_10_BUCKET_01

"This sort of shiny.. bucket. Hmm. I'll give it this, the bucket does have a nice shine to it."

Apartment_11_BUCKET_00

"Yes, I suppose on closer inspection that it doesn't quite look like your average hardware store bucket."

Apartment_11_BUCKET_01

"It's just a little more, um, what am I trying to say? Sturdier? More capable of transporting liquid? Like it would be better at moving an amount of water from one room to another?"

Apartment_12_BUCKET_00

"Oh my god, what am I saying? “Better at carrying water from room to room?” It's a bucket! It's literally just a bucket!"

Apartment_12_BUCKET_01

"Why do I feel some need to point out the ways in which it's... so much more than just a regular bucket?"

Apartment_13_BUCKET_00

"Oh no. I'm - I'm having feelings. For the bucket."

Apartment_13_BUCKET_01

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, what's going on?"

Apartment_13_BUCKET_02

"Why do I want to be with the bucket, share time with the bucket, share a life with the bucket, what's wrong with me? I don't understand! Perhaps... perhaps if I had the bucket this would be less confusing, yes!"

Apartment_14_BUCKET_00

"Stanley, give me the bucket! Give it to me! Give me the bucket, Stanley! I need it! Give it to me, now! Give it, or I'll -"

Dream_1a_extrabucket_part2_00

"And why on earth is he carrying a bucket around with him and consulting it for advice?"

It would have been played at some point during the bucket variant of the Dream ending perhaps when the order of dialogue was different since it doesn't line up with the part 1 which is used in the final game.

Unused Graphics#

This STILL wasn't the correct way to the meeting room, but I don't think it cares at this point.

The Loading Dock text from the first game reappears, with the same intro text joke.

Temporary texture for an anti-bucket warning notice, instructing the developers to replace the line drawing with a photograph instead. Regardless, the line drawing was used.

All the Steam reviews seen in-game are real ones for the original "Stanley Parable", just with the usernames changed.

A message left on several textures of Steam reviews, begging people into publishing a positive one.

Winamp Easter Egg#

At the loading screen, there is a hidden reference / Easter Egg to the audio player that really kicks the llama's ass, which is known as Winamp.
