The Simpsons Arcade

The Simpsons Arcade is a kinda-sorta spiritual successor to Konami's classic arcade beat-'em-up that really could've used a less confusing name.

Test Level#

A test level, named map_test_bed, which appears to be a copy of an early version of the first area of Downtown Springfield.

  • There are no cutscenes present, such as the one starting the level.

Test Level

Downtown Springfield

  • The sidewalk had more gaps on it.
  • The marks on the road are missing.
  • A sign above one of the windows was removed.
  • A window was removed from one of the gray buildings.
  • The level is 1 tile shorter in width.

Test Level

Downtown Springfield

  • Some random doors can be found in the middle of the road.
  • The parking meters and a cat aren't present.

Test Level

Downtown Springfield

  • More objects aren't present, here being a door, a parking sign and a "OPEN" sign.
  • The mail box was more closer to the door.

Test Level

Downtown Springfield

  • The game pretty much softlocks here as the camera can be made to move again.
  • Yet more objects aren't present, here being a manhole and a rat.
  • The crate was further from the back wall.

Test Level

Downtown Springfield

  • The crate gives you a Lisa power-up instead of a burger, with the power-up showing up mostly invisible besides the effects at the end.
  • A weapon can be found in the lower-right corner of the map. Like with the Lisa power-up, it again appears invisible.
