The Lost Vikings (Game Boy Advance)

A port of the SNES version.

Level Select#

Unlike other versions, the GBA Lost Vikings does not have a password system, so a level select code was added in to compensate: go to the Load Game screen and press Left, Right, L, R, Up, Up, Down, Select. The level selector will appear in the sixth (bottom) save slot.

This will also enable an invincibility mode: you won't die if enemies hit you, but you can still die via other ways.

In the European version only, press Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right, Select, Select on the Load Game screen. The only way out is to reset.

This picture also appears in the European GBA version of Blackthorne, where it is accessed through the same code.

Developer Comments#

At the Load Game screen, press Down, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Up, Select, then press Start during gameplay to cycle through various dialogues from the game instead of the standard "Give Up?" message (though you can still give up as the yes/no menu is only hidden from view).

As with the previous code, this will only work on the European version.

Unused Text#

The passwords from the SNES version are present at 0x7A6D0. However, since this version doesn't have a password system, they go unused.
