This is a sub-page of Sonic Generations (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows)/Unused Animations.
Crabmeat#
Claw Attack#
An animation of the Crabmeat swinging it's right claw, which would play when either Sonic is close to the enemy. No matter how close the player gets though, the enemy will always use it's missiles.

Vertical Shot#
|
|
This needs some investigation. |
A set of three animations animations of the Crabmeat using it's missiles in a vertical stance, possibly firing the missiles the same way as the Egg Launchers do.

Grabbers#
Look#
Unknown exactly. Judging by it's filename, maybe it would've been used when spotting the player?
Shot Attacks#
A total of five "shot" animations can be found in the files for the badnik, featuring him shooting a pellet at the player when close by (given by the evidence for the sound effect being used for the Spiny). It also would've attacked the from behind, or from it's hip according to one of the filenames.
GUN Hunters#
Animation |
Filename |
Description |
|---|---|---|
![]() |
ght_look_shot_ready_s.anm.hkx |
A starting animation for when the GUN Hunter spots the player. In-game, this animation gets skipped. |
![]() |
ght_seek.anm.hkx |
An animation for when the GUN Hunter is searching for the player. It's possible these were meant to play when spawned, like the Egg Pawns in Seaside Hill. |
Iblis Worms#
An animation of the Iblis Worm using a spin attack, where it spins it's body a whole two circles. This animation would've played when near the enemy.

Egg Fighters#
Both the neutral (efn) and sword (efs) variant of the Egg Fighters use the same animations, excluding their attacks. They only have two unused animations, where they would react to being defeated when sliding under the enemies from up front or behind (such as Egg Pawns and GUN Hunters). While these "TECHNICALLY" play in-game, they just tend to roll around afterwards.

Egg Chasers#
Damage#
An animation of the Egg Chaser recieving damage from getting hit, likely a leftover from Sonic Unleashed, where it would get hurt from Egg Fighters being thrown at. This goes unused as they are defeated with just one hit.

Flying#
There are six animations, totaling two sets, of the Egg Chasers to either fly left or right to where Modern Sonic's location is, like how they would behave in Sonic Unleashed. They usually do no move anywhere and are in one spot the whole way, rendering these animations unused.

Giant Badniks#
The giant variants of the Motobug and Buzz Bomber are only seen once, that being "Knuckles: Horde of Enemies". Yet despite this, there are some animations that can still be found in their files.
Giant Motobug#
The badnik has an unused seeking animation, possibly a leftover from the regular ones.
Giant Buzz Bomber#
The giant Buzz Bombers have attacking animations found in it's files, which they never do in the game. Even so, these would've been used on Buzzer badniks (the bee-like enemies) as the regular Buzz Bombers just idle and move.
