Take care of Shrek and Donkey's horrible babies from Shrek the Third.

Debug Menu#
Inside the game there is a debug menu that can be loaded by using the following Action Replay code which will load the debug menu instead of the legal screen when launching the game:
520F1E28 00000005
020F1E28 00000000
Entering this debug menu makes the Gingerbread Man scream that he is excited and opens a list containing screens, maps and debug modes the player can access. The screen shows the region of the game as well as the date and time stamp of the build. While most options can be accessed normally within the game, there are a handful of options only accessible via this menu, these are the three debug modes: Animation Test, Level Viewer and Sound Test, launching the EEPROM Menu which just loads the titlescreen, Test Cinemas which doesn't seem to work and Error which crashes the game.
Animation Test#
A simple animation viewer in which the player can watch all of the animations the babys have as well as the file name of the animation. The mode shows an ogre baby and a dronkey baby with D-Pad Up and Down switching through the ogre's animations while Y and B change the animations of the dronkey.
Level Viewer#
|
|
This needs some investigation. |
The level viewer allows to load any of the maps and look at them with a full control camera. Selecting a map loads the map, while Start toggles between the camera and menu control. The camera can be rotated using the D-Pad while the L and R buttons move the camera forward and backwards. The player can also press Select to switch into a different camera mode which will then set a fix camera position at the current location so the player can rotate around this location with the camera easily and look at it from different positions and angles.
Using the map viewer the play can see several maps that the player can't enter normally. The map Shrek's Hut seems to be the room that was used to create the game ending and introduction cutscenes, however, the maps called Muffin Man's Bakery, Far Far Away streets, Tower courtyard and Hedge maze load up empty maps. The names of the maps suggest that they were originally containing the maps used to render the cutscenes that play on the first visit of a new unlocked area.
Sound Test#
|
|
This needs some investigation. |
In the Sound Test the player can play through the different sequences, music tracks, using the related menu options. The menu shows the track and effect name, with a good chunk of them not showing a correct name. There is also a display of the memory usage at the bottom of the menu. While the menu has an option to test sound effects, it seems like the button for switching through effects does not work correctly so only the first sound effect can be tested.
Debug Cheat#
Additionally, there is another debug cheat that can be activated in the titlescreen by pressing the following button combination using the D-Pad. Activating the cheat successfully will play a sound effect similar to when an item it collected
2x 🡸
8x 🡺
6x 🡸
2x 🡺
7x 🡸
4x 🡺
2x 🡸
Inside the Playpen#
With the debug cheat enabled while being in the playpen the player can press R + Y to open a debug menu that allows spawning any object in the game inside the playpen by selecting it using the D-Pad and spawning the item by pressing B. This menu also contains a few items that are not used in the game otherwise including the Coin, Coin Stack and Coin Bag which give the player free activity points, a Pumpkin and a Bouncy Mattress.
Pressing R + A will open a status screen that displays the conditions of the babys as well as their current mindset and behavior. Pressing Select allows to swap screens so the upper screen becomes the touchscreen, which then allows to slide the stats at will.
The button combination R + X returns the game to the normal top screen which shows the main objectives for the babys, however using any of the debug screens will cause the text to glitch out until it is loaded by the game normally again.
Outside the Playpen#
When leaving the playpen and being able to walk around with the baby outside pressing Select will teleport the baby back to the playpen.

Unused Models#
building.nsbmd#
A building leftover from American Dragon: Jake Long - Attack of the Dark Dragon, another game by WayForward.
bridge_skybox.nsbmd#
Another out-of-place city asset leftover from the above-mentioned game.
taz.nsbmd#
A model of Taz from an earlier iteration of Galactic Taz Ball, interestingly predating that game's release by three years.
Untextured Models#
Several untextured models are present, many of which correspond to a bridge. This isn't all of them, but you get the idea.
