OutRun (Sega Saturn)

A highly-ported port by Rutubo Games. This is a complete port of the arcade game.

It was not sold as a standalone outside of Japan, but was instead included in Sega Ages: Volume 1, which was released outside of Japan. Unfortunately, this also meant Hiroshi Miyauchi's great rearrangements of his original tracks had to be cut to fit all games on one disc.

Arcade Mode#

This mode is more like the original version.　This mode has some changes, such as the ability to insert coins and the game starting automatically if you do not select a song for several tens of seconds. While the SEGA logo is appearing, on the second controller, input the following: hold A+C and press START. If the input is successful, the "Get ready" sample will play and the game will enter Arcade mode.　Press L to insert a coin.　Difficulty, game version, etc. will use the previously saved configuration.

Smooth Mode#

While selecting "Game mode", press A+C and then use ← or → to change Game mode. Two versions with (Smooth) will appear. This mode will run at 60FPS instead of 30FPS.

Easy cornering#

While selecting "OPTIONS", press A+C and then START to enter the options. A new option "CORNERING" will appear, and you can choose between ARCADE and EASY. EASY has more grip and makes cornering easier.
