Unused Dialogue#
Dobby#
These two lines reveal that Dobby was to make an appearance in the game.
As in the original story, the narrator explains that Harry set Dobby free. Then Dobby looks surprised to see Harry; this indicates that he was not supposed to appear at the beginning... This line is very much the same as the PS1 version's and Dobby's voice actor is the same as in that version. Note that these audio files are stored in those for the third floor, so it is possible that this cutscene would have taken place in front of Dumbledore's office.

These voicelines are used in the PS2 version of the game, where Dumbledore himself appeared in the lobby at the end of the day to calculate the points of the houses. Only the lines where he pronounces the house names only are used. Right next to the cutscene, after purchasing the Standard book of spells, Ginny and Molly should have commented on how you would throw your spell at the barrels. For some odd reason, all the dialogue of all the pedestrians of Diagon Alley is stored in the Leaky Cauldron files even though none of the Witches and Wizards say anything there. Dialogues for them are stored in the Diagon Alley files. They would talk about the shops and anything related to the place, but they were left unused, theorically because they were recorded late in the development, if you look at the ID, and developers likely hit the time limit to ever implement the new dialogues.

If you want to get the Magical Measurer to the top you’ll need to cast a perfect Flipendo spell on it. To do that, build up the power on your wand for as long as you dare (hold down [FLIPENDO ICON]) and then cast the spell (release [FLIPENDO ICON]) just before it overpowers. |
|
sv_gaj_DIA01_0018 |
Not bad, but you’ll need more power than that. (Hold down [FLIPENDO ICON] for longer) |
|
sv_gaj_DIA01_0017 |
Oh, dear, you’ll have to do better than that. (Hold down [FLIPENDO ICON] for longer) |
|
sv_gaj_DIA01_0019 |
You need to build your spell up for longer. (Hold down [FLIPENDO ICON] for longer) |
|
sv_gaj_DIA01_0020 |
You built up the power for too long. (Release [FLIPENDO ICON] a little earlier) |
|
sv_gaj_DIA01_0021 |
Ouch! Try casting the spell earlier. (Release [FLIPENDO ICON] earlier) |
|
sv_gaj_DIA01_0022 |
Excellent! A perfect Flipendo spell! |
In the PlayStation 2 version, the salesman comes out of his booth to help you ring the bell with Flipendo; in this version for some reason, he does not.
Day 6#
Everyone, after the final boss, would have aclaim you around for your win ! but not a lot of the dialogue in the "Speech Encounters d6" are used. only Neville Longbottom and Moaning Myrtle one can be heard by go seing them.
Nearly Headless Nick#

The second version of each audio are an unmixed version found in an unused duplicata of the game speech from the Xbox version.

I believe that despite your success in getting rid of that awful basilisk we are somewhat behind on House Points. I'd like to help, but I'm afraid that being dead rules me out of the competition. |

The scene in the movie where Lockhart and Snape duel with Lockhart losing would have been in the game, but this is not the case in any console version.

Expelliarmus! |
Once again, from the scene where Lockhart and Snape have a duel demonstration. |
Draco Malfoy#
Thankfully, he never uses these spells as seen below. Locomotor Mortis was later deleted, and Rictusempra does not exist. He actually does use Expelliarmus and Flipendo in-game, but doesn't call out their names like this.
The game's subtitle indicates that he should have shouted all the spell names and that most of them have never been recorded, including Serpensortia and... Lumos?! Indicating that it might have been possible to use all the spells in a duel... Incendio however, has an effect on dueling and can be used via savegame hacks.

Leave them alone! |
Harry, during the scene after the first duel where he talks to the snake, would have said this instead of actually speaking Parseltongue. Maybe because it's a placeholder before the developers got the real sound of Harry talking to the snake. |
|
sv_hry_DY201_0006 |
Expelliarmus! |
The presence of this line is strange because Harry's incantations are always found with the sound files of the spells, except that Expelliarmus is the only spell that Harry does not pronounce outside the PlayStation 2 version. |
|
sv_hry_DY201_0020♦ |
Rictusempra! |
Maybe Harry would have cast Rictusempra which is in opposition to the big list of deleted spells because Rictusempra is not on that... Harry cast rictussempra in the book to make Malfoy laugh, maybe this was intended to be portray here. |
♦The id of the line is unknow, but all the line where harry shout spells name is listed from 0018 to 0025 excepted that 0020 is missing in his entirely. And Rictusempra is the spell that is missing from the code. We can conclude this id belong to this line.
