Unused Behaviour#

Partner Bayonetta 1 and 2#

Oddly enough, setting the costume ID value to 400 and 500, spawns a computer controlled Bayonetta 1 and 2 npc respectively. She behaves exactly as the npc Bayonettas from the game's final boss, however they cause a few quirks when summoned outside the intended battle, such as:

  • Issues with camera tracking
  • Pathfinding issues where the npc will constantly circle the playable Bayonetta
  • Occasional crashes if the npc bayonetta finishes a verse

Interestingly, the npc bayonetta will sometimes move out of the way if an obstacle is heading towards her, such as labolas in the trinity Bayonetta cutscene. Otherwise, she will stay relatively close to the playable Bayonetta most of the time

Use the following cheats on an emulator or Edizon, you might need to enter and exit the costume selection menu for the cheat to take effect

Jeanne Lynx Within#

Forcing Jeanne to equip Scarborough Fair or Love is Blue and then attempting to use the beast within, correctly uses Jeanne's lynx within. Unfortunately, owl within still uses Bayonetta's crow within.

The Phantom Demon Slave#

By changing one of the equipped demon IDs to 0C you can play as the phantom from the final boss of the Egypt chapters, he has full functionality from his playable verse and deals the same damage as phantasmaraneae (he also borrows wink slaves and assault slave animations from phantasmaraneae). Oddly enough, if the phantom is equipped, the game treats its position as the main player position for audio, effectively making every sound effect sound quieter the farthest the camera is from the phantom's last summoned location. Use the following cheats to force the phantom on Bayonetta or Jeanne.

Cheshire on Bayonetta and Jeanne#

By changing one of the equipped demon IDs to 0D you can force Bayonetta or Jeanne to use Viola's Cheshire Demon Slave, there are a few issues with cheshire, such as him ignoring commands sometimes. Despite this, he can be played mostly as intended, besides the fact that he doesn't have dismissal animations. interestingly, his chain is usually set to the world's origin (normally it should be linked to viola's Mab Dachi but since it's not loaded it defaults to 0.0.0). Use the following cheats to force Cheshire on Bayonetta or Jeanne.
