This page details one or more prototype versions of TrackMania Nations ESWC.

Intro Video#

This build contains a placeholder intro video, which is just the ESWC/nVidia logo animation, but it's slower and the background color for nVidia logo is white instead of black.

Environment Differences#

One of the most notable changes in this build, is the lack of one the giant screens at the far end of the Stadium.

The lighting is also a little bit different from the retail version.

Track Differences#

To do:
Maybe add some direct video comparison?

This build contains only 40 tracks (30 in "Beginner Training" and 10 in "Advanced Training"), as supposed to 90 in the release version. There are various track differences in this build, ranging from minor layout changes (mostly to remove unintentional shortcuts), to unfinished decoration.
{| class="wikitable" ! Track !! Differences |- | A-8 | Road after the turn is lower, making the jump skippable. |- | C-8 | Road after the loop is on the same height level, making it possible to skip the looping. |- | D-1 | Unfinished decoration. |- | D-2 | Unfinished decoration. Author name is "Toto" instead of "Nadeo". |- | D-3 | Unfinished decoration. |- | D-4 | Unfinished decoration. Author name is "Toto" instead of "Nadeo". |- | D-5 | Unfinished decoration. |- | D-7 | Unfinished decoration. Author name is "Toto" instead of "Nadeo". |- | D-8 | Unfinished decoration. Uses "StadiumPlatformWallBorder"1 blocks around the finish instead of "StadiumControlRoadCamera". |- | D-9 | Unfinished decoration. Author name is "Toto" instead of "Nadeo". |} 1 - This block does not exist in this build, nor in the final version of TmNationsESWC. However, a block with the same name was later added in TrackMania United.
From the track header data, we can see that most tracks were made in version 1.7.1 of the game. The earliest track in this version seems to be D-1, which was last modified Jan 15, 2006.

Block Differences#

Missing blocks#

This build is missing some blocks from the release version.

To do:
list missing blocks

Hidden StadiumPlatformFloor Block#

In the game files, there is a hidden block named StadiumPlatformFloor. It's a simple, thin, flat block that can be used with other platform blocks. Its icon shows it using a different, older texture, which was blue at the time this block was being made. This block was removed from the game before retail release.

Unfinished Models For StadiumControlRoadPub Block#

The ground variant models for StadiumControlRoadPub are unfinished and are using ground models from StadiumTubeRoad as placeholders instead.

Vehicle Skins And Country Flags#

This build contains only 53 skins for the StadiumCar, as supposed to 69 in the release version. Same applies to the country flags used for player avatars.
The 16 missing skins are: ALG.zip, ANG.zip, AUS.zip, CZE.zip, EST.zip, HUN.zip, LTU.zip, MAR.zip, MEX.zip, MRT.zip, PAN.zip, ROM.zip, SVK.zip, TUR.zip, VEN.zip, VIE.zip.
