Watch on YouTubeDifferences in the Beast Makers worlds.

Differences#

  • From Beast Makers onwards, all dragons are lacking their cutscenes and have no text dialogue either.
  • The fodder in this homeworld use different sound effects (including an "oink"). This is also the case for the same fodder in Terrace Village, Misty Bog, and Metalhead.

Beast Makers Home#

  • The room containing the Wild Flight portal is lit differently (lacking the green highlights) and includes a torch that isn't in the final.
  • Some lighting errors are present on the Tree Tops portal frame.
  • The Metalhead portal appears to be smaller than the frame it's in, from certain angles, due to some of the polygons surrounding it being one-sided.
  • Entering some of the portals sometimes requires charging for some reason.
  • A whirlwind in the section near the balloonist is missing.
  • The swamp plants don't react to Spyro's flame.

Terrace Village#

  • The large gnorcs play an idle sound effect of music coming from their headphones.
  • The small gnorcs have strange diagonal shadows in their metallic effect.
  • Some of the fireworks are angled differently.

Misty Bog#

  • The staircase built into the wall of the building at the end of the level has narrower steps.

Tree Tops#

  • The thieves (which are red and green) appear blue in their low LOD models.
  • The thief cutscene that usually plays at the beginning of the level is absent, despite it being present in the earlier June 15th build.
  • Some of the usually stone brick textured areas are textured with a tree stump design instead.

Boss (Metalhead)#

  • A platform you can usually glide to from the top of the tall whirlwind has no gems on it. Similarly, in the final room, the ledge opposite the passage reached via the whirlwind also has no gems on it.
  • There's an extra enemy waiting to ambush you right at the end of the level just before you reach the exit vortex.

Flying (Wild Flight)#

  • The level uses a totally different and much brighter skybox.
  • The level's texture work is very incomplete and its lighting is very dull and flat, contrasting with the final's much more vibrant lighting. All of the crystals are purple instead of some of them being green, and none of them glow.
  • A sound effect which sounds like a train can be heard constantly throughout the level and is even played instead of the "ding" sound that the icons make as they cascade towards the bottom of the screen.
  • The timer starts at 20 seconds instead of 25.
  • The boats use a red ring icon instead of a red boat icon.
  • Arches give 1 extra second instead of 2.
  • Planes give 3 extra seconds instead of 2.
