In the Testfire in the Message folder, WAVE 4 and WAVE 5 were both found in the file Coop_Result_00.msbt. There may have been 5 waves in Salmon Run instead of 3. This also may be an early reference to Eggstra work in Splatoon 3 but unlikely In the file Coop_WaveClear_00.msbt, text referencing to WAVE ú is present. The same text is present in the file Coop_CountDownStart_00.msbt. For some reason in the file Lby_CoopLobby_00.msbt, text referencing to the Splatfest rank is present. The max points for some reason is set to 8888.8. There is also "1/7" present in the same file.
ErrorViewer.msbt also contains unused text. The file was blanked out until 4.3.1, which is now used by the game.

My best friend took me to this amazing cake shop in The Reef the other day! |
But I don't remember going to a cake shop.... |
But I don't remember going to a cake shop... |
An interesting piece of unused dialogue found exclusively in Japanese. Not only seems does it seem to mention the Switch Event demo, but it also gives an apparent canonical reason as to why The Reef was revamped for the Testfire. In the final release, this was replaced with a completely different conversation.

Huh? Why has the appearance changed ever since the Release Event...? |
イイダのマネっ! |
Look at me! I'm Marina! BLAH BLAH BLAH! |
センパイの歌声で 木の橋がコワれたから石の橋に 掛け替えたらしいですよ… |
They say Senpai's singing destroyed the wooden bridge, so they had to replace it with one made of stone... |
あははっ! そっくり~! |
Ahaha! Yeah, that's so me! |
Some of these seem to have been made in the middle of translating, as this quote still refers to Pearl by her Japanese name, "Hime," as well as including "Stay cool" instead of "Don't get cooked."

Good luck everybody! Stay cool, stay... |
Hime, wait! We're still on the air for a bit! |

The jellies here can climb the rock walls faster than I can. What's with that? |
Well, those jellyfish DO probably have a couple of inches on you, short stack. |
Well, those jellyfish DO probably have a couple of inches on you... |
Apparently, this extra jab was too rude even for the more acerbic personality Marina had in early English versions.

Pearl, take a deep breath and put down the Splattershot... |
Whoooa, Pearl. I'm confiscating your Splattershot until you chill out. |
This quote was completely changed in the final launch.

Wonder if I should become a member here and really start to get chiseled. |
A membership to this place costs an arm and a leg. |
What?! But I thought being the toned one was MY thing! |
Yeah, but at least the arm and leg will be jacked. |
