Test 2

This is a sub-page of Proto:Serious Sam: The First Encounter.

Serious Sam Test 2 is the second technology test for Serious Sam: The First Encounter. It released on December 15th, 2000, placing it a mere three or so months before the game was released on March 2001. It is very close to the final version, but lacks some last minute polish, such as the text files still needing grammar and spelling checks.

Enemies#

Unless otherwise noted, the enemies are the same as their final counterparts.

Beheaded Rocketeer#

The Rocketeer uses the Test 1 sounds, but it uses the final's model.

Beheaded Bomber#

He also uses the Test 1 sounds.

Beheaded Firecracker#

Like the others, he uses the Test 1 sounds, but has the final's model.

Harpy#

The Harpy uses the final's model, but she uses the Test 1 animations. This is most noticeable with her ground animations.

Weapons#

The weapons are the same as their final counterparts, unless otherwise noted.

Knife#

The Knife received a major boost from its Test 1 counterpart, and is in fact stronger than the final's knife, as it can gib anything weaker than a Female Gnaar with one hit, and can take out a Kleer skeleton with one swipe if it has received any damage beforehand.

Items#

The items are the same as the final versions unless otherwise noted.

200 Armor#

The 200 Armor item is a red version of Test 1's model.
