This is a sub-page of Proto:Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.

Since a majority of the game is in a fully playable form, all of the game's dialogue is here and accounted for too. Since E3 is an event with an English audience in mind, all of the dialogue accessible during the demo itself has been translated, though at this point it's a very literal translation of the Japanese script without any localization flourishes. The rest of the game's dialogue remains in Japanese. Below are two lists of both languages separated from each other.

the Mushroom Kingdom.

We won't let you
pass until you show
a spectacular jump...

That's right, it's the border,
and since we're the border

The rules are simple!
Just
jump over
the
border line!

The rules are really simple!
Just
jump to avoid touching
the royal
Border Line!

Just keep jumping
until the flag
behind us rises.

And keep on jumping until that
flag in the background reaches
the top of the flagpole.

If either one of you
messes up three times,
you fail!

But listen, if either one of you
makes 3 mistakes, then the game's
over. The end.

Let's practice
a bit.

Well said, little Border Bro!
Anyway, we'll be nice and let
you practise first. Sound good?

You jump first, Mario.
Just press the

Proto

Final

Not yet, Luigi.
Just you wait!

It's not your turn yet, Luigi.
You just sit tight, OK?
Seriously. Chill out.

You can relax for now,
Mario.

You can just take a break,
there, Mario. Give the old
"Jumpman" routine a rest.

OK!
