Castle Town#

A tree was added behind the top left house, all three archways are intact, some land was changed at the bottom middle, a bush became a tree in the bottom right, the icon for the badge shop was originally a crudely-drawn mushroom, a sign was added on the wall next to the northern stairs, a light pole was removed next to the badge shop, and the Starbeans Cafe originally had a unique icon on the top left of the building.

The top and bottom archways get destroyed instead of just the top one, the sign was added for consistency, and the windows of the Starbeans Cafe were originally all shattered. Additionally, the badge shop was originally closed in this version.

The icon for the item shop has the same crude mushroom icon as the badge shop, a light pole was added on the east side, the terrain around the item shop was changed slightly, the information shop originally had a "!" talk bubble in its icon, and there's more pavement up next to the extra long house.

The item shop was also originally closed in the destroyed version of the town, much like the badge shop. Otherwise, all differences match up with the normal version of this side of town in this build.

The icon above the counter was the same as the one originally found on the outside of the building in this version, a sink on the left was removed and the sink on the right was shifted over a bit. A part of the counter on the left side was also removed. Unlike the final, this room is actually populated by NPCs aside from the cashier. One even mentions 'celebrities visiting here', which would've been all the scrapped cameos found leftover in the final game. To answer the million-dollar question: sadly, the cameos were not yet implemented by the time this build was made, so they cannot be seen here. No data for them exists in this build at all.

A random island off to the right side was removed, trees were added to outside the front entrance, and the stairs were originally much wider. There's three green circle patterns in front of the entrance instead of two.

The icon for the pipe was much more crudely drawn and included a red pipe behind the green one in the design that was removed in the final. The Mini Mario entrance was originally level to the ground.

Map 53#

There are five pipes in the Pipe House instead of four and they're all red. None of them work, and Piper does not reside in any of them. The walls were also originally tan instead of purple.

The path leading to the island off to the left was removed, and the area received some major terrain changes to accommodate the newly-added photographer in the final game.
