Bowser In Peach's Castle#
- During the cutscene in which it's been revealed Peach's voice was stolen and replaced, an avalanche of Toads fall from the top of the screen the third time Peach speaks. This does not happen in the final game.
Map 16#
The background behind the bros.' house was shifted a bit to prevent a second castle from appearing in the scene.

Maps 103 and 282#
Two early versions of the Koopa Cruiser room, with one being much shorter than the other. The actual used Koopa Cruiser room in this build is identical to the final. This early version of Toad Town is actually quite functional, and contains many differences to the final. NPC locations are different, Luigi is running around the center fountain and actually talks to you if spoken to. He speaks of "word bombs" causing a problem in town, and there are indeed explosives that use the same graphics from Peach's dialogue at the start of the game. The bomb objects are harmless, however, and jumping on top of them dispatches them. There is no reward or event for getting rid of all of them. One Toad on the left does react to a word bomb next to him being dealt with, however, and will give you a mushroom as thanks for saving him. All of the Toads present use the common version of Toad, instead of the unique boy and girl variants seen in the used version of this room and the final game. Proceeding north will lead to earlier version of the suitcase room. There is only one Toad NPC here, who is jumping around and saying he's practicing his jumps. The Toadsworth suitcase scene plays out like normal, except that Luigi isn't present during the cutscene until the very end. The next room is the short early Koopa Cruiser room, and the scene plays out fairly differently: Luigi is seen jumping around in front of the cruiser instead of standing a distance away, and Bowser's troops don't board the ship. Toadsworth has an extra line at the start, which roughly says "It's really big! It's the first time I've seen such a big turtle!". Bowser starts off by bragging about the cruiser instead of being annoyed that Mario is late to boarding it, and says something like "How about that? It's amazing! It's so amazing you'll pee your pants! If you're going to pee your pants, just get in!" Mario then boards, and Bowser says "All right! Well, I'd like to get started right away, but..." and then after Toadsworth wishes Mario the best, "Heyyyyy! Hey Green Beard! You come with me!" Luigi then runs off, with Bowser yelling "Angghhh! Wait!!"
The larger unused Koopa Cruiser room is separate from all of these other early rooms, but is still functional if Mario's position is edited upon entering the room to allow him to move in the scripted event that starts upon entry. It appears to play out identically to the final, although it softlocks when Bowser first comments on Luigi due to Luigi following Mario's position upon entry of the room, and not being able to move to the spot he's supposed to be at for the cutscene.

An earlier version of the second room of the Koopa Cruiser that features an extended section on the right that was completely removed in the final game. Features the passport camera cutscene at the top right of the part of the room that remained in the final, and the bottom left includes a unique cutscene that involves basic controls. Replaced in the final with the room where Luigi tickles Pump Mario to make some plant platforms grow.
