This is a sub-page of Proto:Counter-Strike: Global Offensive/August 8, 2011 Prototype.

Viewmodel Arms#

This prototype only has two sets of viewmodel arms: one for the CTs and one for the Ts. The Terrorists have a bare arm (with nothing worn), and the Counter-Terrorists have a green sleeve with brown fingerless gloves. In the game's files there's seal-team 6 arms that are upper body textures of seal-team 6, There arm for proffestional faction but unfinished that he is a Counter-Strike: Source arm.

All Weapons#

All weapon animations in this prototype seem to be taken directly from motion-captures, however, the final game's animations are tweaks of these mo-caps. And also looks soo shiny than final game.

Knife#

In this prototype, the Terrorists use the Flip Knife as their default knife. Meanwhile, the Counter-Terrorists use the Bayonet. Both of these knives were reworked and released as cosmetic knives in the Arms Deal update.

The Dual Berettas use a different texture that closely resembles the .40 Dual Elites in Counter-Strike 1.6.

SCAR-17#

The fabled SCAR-17 exists in the prototype, and is called "Scarab Carbine 17", however it is unobtainable without modifying the game files. The SCAR-17 re-uses its model from Left 4 Dead 2 and features an alternate-fire mode which lacks an animation and only seemingly changes the gunshot sound. This is most likely due to the fact that the SCAR-17 was originally designed as a replacement for the now M4A1-S, evidence for this is found in the CS:GO icon, which depicts a CT holding a SCAR-17.

Galil AR#

The Galil AR has an unusable scope, which can be used via modifying the files. It is also called "IDF Sentinel 22" in-game.

Alternative Model#

An earlier version of the Galil can be found in the prototype's files as v_rif_galil.mdl. This Galil model is based off of a Galil SAR compared to the prototype's (and final's) Galil ACE 22.
