A demo version of Amanda the Adventurer 3 released for Steam on June 19th, 2025. This dates to a about four and a half months before the official game's release. In this demo, the player goes through the prologue to what happened 10 years ago before the current events in Amanda the Adventurer 2. The only tape that can be played here is "Scavenger Hunt", where after completing it ends the game telling the player to "Save her", closing off with a release date of Fall 2025.
Differences#
Graphics and Objects#
There are only three things that can be found that were changed between the demo and final release.

T_Sewer_01_D |
The sewer textures seem to have changed between the demo and final game. It's hard to tell what exactly is changed though. It also has a size reduction from 41.8 MB to 32.9 MB. |

S_Food_Icecream_01 |
All the food found in the fridge is present in the game's files, including this Ice Cream container. Which in the demo is... an object with nothing on it. This suggests that the textures for the object were not done yet during the time before the final release. |

S_Food_Milk_01 |
Just like the Ice Cream, the textures for the milk is also nothing. In fact, it's basically just a plain white object that not even the cap itself it colored. |

T_KeyCard_01_D |
The access card to get to the security room had the employee changed from Daniel McQuiggin to Erik Kader. The quality of the card also looks more cleaner in the demo compared to the final |
|
Bubble (Demo) |
The bubbles in the pod room were originally just a singular one. The final has this changed to four. |
Environment#
Lobby#
There isn't many significant changes here, as the only major changes are the code door and tutorial board being absent from the demo. The only other change here is the door across the code one being changed from a handle to a knob.

The objects on Blake's desk was also moved around. |
|
|
The objects on Louis's Desk has the most overhaul of changes for it. |
|
|
The only changes on Cathy's desk is the slight movement/angle change of the purple stack of sticky notes. Otherwise, it's basically the same as final. |
|
|
The bear and cow plush toys on Cara's desk is the same as final, but the lighting for it is completely different. |
|
|
Barry's desk seems to have not very major changes compared to the final, where it's just the two objects on the left side being slightly moved a bit. |

The clock is functioning in this game, with a time of 7:40. For some reason, this was removed from the final. |

The drawings found at the other side of the desk in the meeting room are not present in the demo version. |
Security Room#
The pod room remained the same as the final, so there are no changes in that room. The security room did get some minor changes however. This section also contains the tape "Scavenger Hunt".

In the Scavenger Hunt tape, the scene where the door with three windows has another building next to it along with a beach ball. This was removed in the final, where it was replaced with the sun and a bike path. |

In the Scavenger Hunt tape, the scene where the player must find an old sock has a fence on the left side in the final. Strangely, this does not appear when Amanda and Wooly transition to the next scene and only appears when pressing the lever for the corresponding pod. While this was fixed in the final, the other videos where the player fails to interact with the lever is still present in the final. |
Gameplay and Other Changes#
- The player's run speed is reduced in the demo, being more similar to Amanda the Adventurer 2. In the final, this was significantly changed.
- The posters and drawings on the walls are absent in the demo version.
- The player cannot pause the tape after finding the purple fire hydrant, before the alarms go off. This was changed in the final.
- The DREAMXP, Mangled Maw, and Hameln logos from the intro cutscene were all removed from the final.
- The title screen has a lot less finished with it's lighting compared to the final. The TV also doesn't really float around in the water in the demo.

Amanda the Adventurer 2#
Aside all the content that is found in the final game, there are small leftover remnants of Amanda the Adventurer 2 that were removed from the final game. These being the logo from that said game, the textures for the VHS model (as the model is still found in the files for the final game, the textures for it were removed) and every subtitle from the tapes, including the secret tapes, are present here. The cutscenes related to Joanne (aside from "Do You Feel Safe?") are not present. (Note: Due to there being a lot of text, only some of them will be listed below)
