To do: This has unused music, allegedly. Totaka's Song exists used within the game. There is an absolutely MIND NUMBING amount of unused levels, cutscenes, debug enemies, params, and stuff. Yoshi's New Island is the first Yoshi's Island game on the Nintendo 3DS, and quite possibly the most polarizing entry in the series for a variety of reasons. The biggest disappointment is that, despite the title, it didn’t do anything "new" to the series at all, and worse, it lead to one of the dumbest rehashes/retcons of all time. Even the Giant Egg mechanic, while interesting in its own right, wasn't enough to save the game as a whole, and felt more like an excuse to justify calling the game "New". Although a fun game on its own merits, it's considered very weak compared to the games immediately before and after. Nowadays, it's mostly remembered for its questionable soundtrack than the game itself.

Unused Models#

ev_mario#

ev_mario.bch is an unused model of Mario as an adult. While the adult Mario does appear in the game, it's only as a silhouette-style model in the ending.

Cactus Jacks were apparently going to be in the game, but were dropped for unknown reasons

revision.txt has some build info. Different ones exist in the root of the RomFS, the message folder and the Download Play sub-ROM. "リビジョン" translates to "revision" and "最終変更リビジョン" translates to "final build".
