Tokyo Xtreme Racer is back after 18 years! Most of the complaints about the Import Tuner Challenge have been addressed (missing many areas, too few cars, Rivals-only AE86, etc.), and Honda cars have finally been officially included. However, the Early Access release in Canada was delayed for legal reasons.

Hidden time setting#

Interestingly, the date and time for Tokyo Xtreme Racer is set by an Unreal Engine 5 plugin to September 23, 2010 at 7:30 PM, four years after the events of Import Tuner Challenge.¹

Revision Differences#

The original Mitsubishi Eclipse '05 model used a model imported directly from Import Tuner Challenge, but compared to the actual car, it didn't look very similar and looked pretty silly. This has been changed to a more accurate model in Ver.1.0.0.

White Revolution, which has gained popularity for money farming, has been renamed to Perfect Revolution in version 0.10.2.　The exact reason is unknown, but you can guess why it was renamed.
