Unused Graphics#

Unused Boss Graphics#

An unused piece of dialogue, probably meant for beating the penguin boss before being replaced by the less leetspeak-y "You beat World 1!" over the exit door. Weirdly, this frame is called "Explode" in the files which probably meant that the penguin was going to explode and this would pop up after the fact.

Here is an attempted restoration (the Angry Penguin has to hit the player once for the message to appear properly):

Leftover Ground Test Build Sprites#

Leftover anchor sprites from the ground test build. The only difference is that it uses different colors.

Unused Bonus Rooms#

Bonus6#

This room is unused and in the files of both the final release and Beta .79 (aka Alpha .79). This was supposed to be a bonus level for the "Erik the Juiceman" trophy and it was an auto-scrolling level.

This room is completely unused, most likely overwriting the ground test build in its entirety by the time of World 1's release.

Animation

Notes

A unused unfinished pushup animation, which is also present in World 2.

A leftover from the alpha build, this was used in a debug setting known as "Spirit Mode" in the alpha build. It sits unused in the final release, this is also present in World 2.

Unused Text#

Leftover Build String Text#

Fancy_pants's_old_home.png

At the bottom right corner of the image (and really the first menu of the entire fancy pants series), there's unused text that says "Beta .9" which implies that Brad Borne might have released an early build by accident.

Unused Paragraphs about Rocky Pinnicle#

In the alpha build, the final release and all versions until v1.7, there were two paragraphs other than the one on screen at all times which are shown above.

Unused Sounds#

This sound is called mine-exp in the files and isn't used anywhere. It's also in World 2. It was removed with the release of World 3.

Revisional Differences#

The newer version (on Armor Games) has an ad for the console versions which were added sometime after v1.7's release (around 2010-2011):

The main menu has a rougher font in the main menu in the 2006 version and has a link to Armor Games in the "Do Not Enter!" door. The Trophies door was renamed as the "Collectibles" door in later fonts.
