Tales of Hearts is a highlight of the handheld 2D entries, even more than Tales of Innocence. It was released in two different versions: one with anime cutscenes and the other with CG cutscenes. Guess which one was more popular.

A PlayStation Vita version, Tales of Hearts R, was released in 2013, and contains full voice acting, more anime cutscenes and new characters. Unlike the DS version, it was released worldwide in 2014.
