Super Heroine Chronicle

Super Heroine Chronicle is Super Robot Wars, but with cute anime girls instead of mechs.

Unused Graphics#

Shion Sonozaki#

Stat window images for Shion. These are unused since she and her sister are a pair and Mion's sprites are used instead.

SHC_031_shion_10.png SHC_031_shion_40.png SHC_231_shion_10.png SHC_231_shion_40.png

Louise Valliere#

Unused, possibly early design, stat window image for Louise. It's cropped from some official artwork.

To do:
Double check internals. Chris on stage 34 and Koto on stage 10 probably are this, but unsure

Unused Stat Window Images#

The .csv files that list stat window images have lines commented out indicating images for light damage, medium damage, a "scream" status and a "raging" status. The former two would have been in line with the 4 images used on the status screen. The raging status could have been used with units internally designated "Berserkers", but is unused on all units assigned this status it is still unused. "Scream" is completely unknown.

Unused Map Attacks#

Several variants of range-extended map attacks exist in the game. However since only Chris can extend her map attack range, these go unused. According to comments in the leveling parameters file, characters may have at some point been able to unlock these by reaching a certain level, but in the final game character range is constant across all levels.

Attack ID 12#

A range extended version of the "shotgun" map attack

Attack ID 15#

Installed Data Checksum Fail#

The PS3 version of the game copies its files to the hard drive for faster loading. ShcPack.cpk has hash.csv appended to it, containing the file sizes and MD5 hashes of data. The game checks these at boot, and if there is a mismatch, asks the user to reinstall the data.

Revision Differences#

Version 1.01 made several small changes

  • The unused War Goddess items had their description changed from 1/2 units of the meter to small/great to better fit with the meter not being presented to the player in discrete increments. They remain unused.
  • Typos in Mion's free talks were corrected.
  • A typo in the stage 2 tutorial was corrected.
  • A typo in Tesla's lines in stage 34 was corrected.
  • A typo in Siesta's lines in stage 47C was corrected.
  • Stage 16A now checks if local flag 0 is set before spawning bosses.
  • Stage 41 added a 0.1 second delay after Dejiko exits.
