Stumble Guys

To do:
Document version differences, add unused content from newer versions of the game.

Stumble Guys is a game in which 32 players compete in a series of platforming levels. The player who beats all of them wins the game and gets a crown. It has a lot of collaborations, including with MrBeast. It's basically a crappy rip off of a much better game.

It doesn't help that the main theme is also ripped off from another game.

Unused Audio#

victory_sound.wav An unused victory jingle. It was kept for the rest of the versions, but it was later renamed to "SG_SFX_Victory.wav".

Unused Graphics#

There are unused graphics in this game, mostly test graphics.

software.png#

SGSoftware.png

An icon of a CD.

prototypeGround.png#

A placeholder grid texture, which is used mostly on the invisible triggers of obstacles.

graphicCard.png#

SGGraphicCard.png

computerIcon.png#

SGComputerIcon.png

Same as above, but without an arrow.

gootest.png#

SGgooTest.png

A test version of a goo texture. It's used in Laser Tracer, but due to the glass tubes being opaque, it goes unseen.

DefaultFlag.png#

A flag with a question mark, most likely a placeholder.

arenaGroundTest.png#

A hexagon patterned texture.

JungleWaterfadeTest.png#

A test version of the water texture used in the jungle level.

Back.png#

Default-Checker.png#

Similar to "prototypeGround.png" but in 64x64 size.

date.png#

Icon of a calendar.

Level3Texturetest.png#

A snow-themed test version of the ground texture used at the starting point, with sharper edges. The file name suggests this was used for Icy Heights, as it's the third level indexed in the game. It was used for its model reference files and early versions of said level.

Templetiletest.png#

Another test texture, this time, patterned with squares with rounded edges.

testSlime.png#

A test version of the slime texture.

testSplash.png#

A test version of the "splash" graphic. (click the image to view it)

fogtest.png#

A fog graphic, likely used for testing purposes. (click to view it)

xxx_Placeholder_icon#

A placeholder graphic, it is text saying "I'm a placeholder".

Unused Models#

There are some unused models made for placeholders, for testing purposes or taken from Unity's Standard Assets.

Cylinder001#

An untextured ring.

Player_Skin0#

Player's default skin with a question mark, most likely as a placeholder.

FlameMeshTest#

Most likely it was used for testing flames or other miscellaneous effects before switching to Unity's particle system.

pyramid#

A very basic pyramid model.

islandTest#

An island, most likely for testing purposes.

Debug Content#

Hidden debug functions, and also a debug menu.

Map Selection#

Pressing Space during the map selection screen will make it select Spin Go Round. However, this does not change what map comes next.

Debug Menu#

A debug menu can be activated by rotating the stick in the mobile version. It also works on the Windows Version of the game, but you have to prevent the mouse from getting out of the window when rotating it. In this menu, we can see all the code the game is executing. You can even save everything to a .txt file. This menu was removed in version 0.40. Watch on YouTube

Unused Shaders#

PARALLAX_TEST#

An unknown shader, likely meant for testing purposes.

Internal Android Package Name#

The package name is "com.kitkagames.fallbuddies". This reveals a different title for the game, being called "Fall Buddies".

Internal Oddities#

The original levels were named with a number (for example, level14 is Super Slide), but since the release of Don't be Jelly (level39), now the levels go for a different numbering. The Workshop levels are named as UGC, ("User Generated Content"). The collaboration levels are named as "IPL", with the "IP" meaning "intellectual property", due to them being licensed.

Unused Level#

An unused level in the game with level ID 28, it appears as Block Dash and Icy Heights combined. It was later removed.
