This is a sub-page of Sonic X Shadow Generations.
Unused Graphics#
Unused Textures#
A texture of a shoe buckle can be found in the "SonicRetro.ar.00" archive. There is also a duplicate with the "spc_HD" suffix as well. As the Legacy Sonic skin is based on the Sonic Adventure model with both visual upgrades (Light Speed Shoes and Crystal Ring), this goes unused.
Collection Logos#

The Sonic Battle logos that were unused in the original Sonic Generations return in this remaster in higher quality. The Japanese logo can be seen in the Sonic Battle promotional art unlockable in Shadow Generations, but in that instance it's baked into the artwork and doesn't use the individual logo graphic.

The Japanese and international Sonic Rush logos from the original are present here, again in higher quality. These go unused due to Leaf Storm's theme, "Right There, Ride On" (which was associated with Rush in the original), being replaced in this remaster.
Demo Leftovers#
Images of early level screenshots from the original game are still present in the Demo.arl file. The Sonics from the stage select screen is also present.

To do: |
While the model (TV and Genesis Console), Sega Genesis Controller, and screen graphics for the original Sonic the Hedgehog were removed in this game, there is still several leftovers that can be found in the files, mostly in the Languages folder.

|
ui_gatemenu_word_1.dds |
The name graphic for the Sega Genesis is still present in the game's stage list. |
|
|
ui_pause_pam_word.dds |
Option graphics where the player could exit the Sega Genesis, when pausing the game. The graphics can only be found in Japanese. |
Miscellaneous Unused Graphics#
The following here are unused graphics that can be found exclusive to this game, but for some reason were not present in the files for the original game.
Unused icons#
Found in the "StageGate.ar" files, under the ui_gatemenu_word_1.dds appears to be several graphics for White Space. These include character icons, Challenge Gate Icons, and even graphics for speech bubbles. Strangely, file does not show in the original game and it's unknown what it used as this one has a Red Ring and exclamation point graphics for the characters. The following three below seems to be they would be used for that reason.

ui_gatemenu_word_1.dds |
A graphic of a magnify glass. Unknown what it's use was, but could be a hint or discovery of some kind. |
|
ui_gatemenu_word_1.dds |
A graphic of a blue musical note. In the FCO files for the characters in the original game, they do mention a musical note comes out when interacting with the bell. This is most likely what is was meant to be used for. |
|
ui_pause_pam_word.dds |
Two separate graphics, one being a present with the other being a smiley face. The smiley face is most likely a placeholder graphic, but the present is unknown. |
Unused Text Graphics#

ui_pause_pam_word.dds |
An option graphic where the player can view the controls in the pause menu, which was replaced with options menu for key binding controls. A gray graphic is also present, but is in the entrance stage for Casino Night before entering. (Note: Selecting that graphic does not prompt any stars on the sides) |
|
ui_btn_guide_word.dds |
Graphics meant for the Statue Room for when Rotating with the Left Stick and entering a password to unlock the statue. The final game uses "Turn Left" and "Turn Right" due to key bindings while the "Password" graphic goes unused since they are all unlocked when entered. |
|
![]() |
ui_option_word.dds |
For whatever reason, the entire file for the options menu from the original game can still be found in files for this game. The final one uses three different graphics, being "ui_option_new_word" numbered zero, one, and two, along with "ui_option_tab_word". |
Unused Default Icon#
Present in the "ActionCommon.ar" is an icon of both Classic and Modern Sonic running together. Judging by the filename, it was most likely meant to be used for when booting up the game. In the final game, no matter which game the player chooses, it will always prompt the default icon.
Unused Text#
Opening the "SkillCustomAsXtb_Cnv.xtb" in a text document, the file reveals text related to the skills that are either used or can be purchased from the Skill Shop. There is also leftovers from relating to the Sega Genesis/Megadrive from the original version, which majority of was removed in the game's files. The pricelist for it is also available too.
Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Controller
Play the original "Sonic the Hedgehog."
You got a Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Controller.
Infinite Continues
Infinite continutes on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.
You got Infinite Continues.
7777
There is also text for when the player were to unlock the Drop Dash, which is unlocked from the start of a new game. The oddest thing about it is that it's description on using it has Super Sonic's text instead.
You got Drop Dash!
Unused Models#
30 Second Goal Post#
The 30 Second Trial goes unused in this version. However, the model (along with its broken parts) can still be found in the game's files under "Signal.ar" and "net_cmn.ar".

Unused Videos#
There are unused videos located in under "SegaLogo.ar" and "SegaLogoJP.ar". These videos are the original SEGA logos videos that was used from 2006 to 2017, where it was later replaced in 2019 via Team Sonic Racing. Basically, this is just a simple leftover from the original game.
